I have a similar thing when it comes to synths. A lot of stuff I use is still stock devices like the substractor or thor. Because when you understand the concept of synthesis (eg: oscillator, modulation, envelopes and filter) you can re-create a lot of different VSTs out there based on that idea. However the only thing that sometimes can be hard to reproduce is the character of the filter. Since some filter types are just simply different then the once that sit in thor itself. Notch / BP / HP 6db is for instance one of them. And you also have different type of filters like diode filter.
exact;y and theres that small bump in the low mids, that makes le M6 sounds MAYBE (sometimes) fatter, probably a bump created withe the resonance. Well one can always apply a small bump of eq somewhere in that zone
I picked to M6 because its famous for it s so called colder sound than JP8 -and i dont have jp8 plugin anyway. So it would be more faire for the comparison
@@Nenko_Music the only 'problem' with stacking thors or subtractors is aliasing in the sine oscillators...(that is why they cheaper on cpu) europa seems best with sine waves..it shows very little aliasing on a spectrograph... + if you really want to custom design filters- take a deeper dive into > spectra re. cheers.

i really thing the drive slider needs to be set really precisely in order to get those frequencies more vivid

but they say the filter is already very unique so i dunno...

the same amount of effects are applied on both synths...when there are fx
wtf is a "goto" synth?
something that has a large palette of sound so that i dont hesitate hours between several pretty VST that tend to be heavy on my cpu. etc
