KILIAN JORNET DOWNHILL: Mont Blanc Marathon 2018

  • Following Kilian Jornet on the downhill from the Aiguillette des Posettes during the Marathon du Mont Blanc 2018. He was in 2nd place here behind Aritz Egea who was running about 100m in front of him. Both of them were charging the descent, which was truly amazing to see given that Kilian had just recovered from a broken leg. He ultimately won the race in 3h54m54s.
    Shot with GoPro 4 Black and Steadxp stabilization.

    After getting over my initial surprise to see some human being (sorry guy, you are also a great athlete!) ahead of Killian Jornet, I was mesmerized by the beauty of this; awesome scenery coupled with supreme athletic performance, it's as good as sports film-making gets.

      James Madelin you’re welcome!! That was always my question too, what it would look and feel like in real life to run behind him and follow him. So I did and brought a camera, to learn from his technique. Glad it’s helpful and instructive to others too.

      Shelter them too much and it might blow back on your face, assuming you're from the US. Maybe you know better, but they'll be exposed to swearing sooner or later. Just guide them through it to make them know it's distasteful. Same thing for sex when they turn 11/12. Kids can be more mature than you think.

    Which gimbal did you use for thit video?

    • @greg.ocallaghan
      @greg.ocallaghan  6 лет назад +1

      I did not use a gimbal, I used steadxp with a GoPro4 black, just holding the camera in my hand. Steadxp is a little device that records all camera movements, which you then use in post-production to stabilize the footage. Check it out: steadxp.com/

      Greg O'Callaghan are you kidding me 😯 i did not know that. Perfect soluction for me 👍 Is hard to do post production?

    • @greg.ocallaghan
      @greg.ocallaghan  6 лет назад +1

      i find it very easy, although it takes a bit of time.. but i prefer steadxp over a gimbal because it is so much smaller. you can just have the gopro in your pocket and spare the weight of a gimbal. hope that helps

    • @ninofijacko2583
      @ninofijacko2583 6 лет назад

      I agree. Steadxp is more handy than gimbal. Which battery do you use in Steadxp - Go pro 3 battery? Is Steadxp greedy for a battery? And also, can you charge battery true Steadxp or you need a separate charger for a battery?
