  • This video is using the mirror and pattern commands to design the part in a very efficient way. The video also strengthens the drawing skills of using Solid Edge 2020 other commands.

    When it comes to CAD I'm still a learner, I have always wondered how to make that shape.. I learned something today & I'm also starting to find my way around the SE interface
    Thanks for the video

    there is a way to do a circular pattern via sketch, it requires you to use the move function tab to rotate in the 2024 edition, once you have that understanding you realize that you can do a circular pattern in sketch mode

      @tagresk7615 Thank you so much for your feedback. Your suggestion is so good, and I will repeat this lab using this concept.

    This was great practice and I learned a lot of techniques and functions. But most of all , I understand how to select chain when I have trouble selecting a face when extruding. 😅

    thanks again, learned a lot in a few days, one remark or question: I deleted the construction circle first, kept me from cleaning up all those small arcs kind regards. I'm still halfway the video so may be I'll need the construction circle further down the road, but then I could redraw it ? Kind regards Hans

    The pattern tool doesn't work that way in Solid Edge 2024. Could you show us how to use it in that version? I'm doing this model and it just isn't reacting how I would expect it to.

    How do you get your part to appear. My instance the part is basically invisible unless you pan around

    How did you know the diameter of the initial construction circle you drew?

    • @drmseif
      @drmseif  3 года назад +2

      The diameter should be given (where the small holes are located - 128 mm). Thanks.

    Mohamed, when I use angle between command tool to align the circles, one line is moving instead of the circles, how to use this tool correctly? Thanks in advance and thanks for your courses.

    • @drmseif
      @drmseif  3 года назад

      This means that the lines are not locked to the center of the circles. This is why I prefer to make sure about the relationships before moving to the next step. If you still need help you can invite me to zoom and I will walk you through the process.

      Also when trimming the symmetric lines I can’t trim the parts, the program only allow me to remove all the line. Could you help me. Thanks in advance.

    Your speed of presentation is a little rushed, as a beginner needs time to find the button you clicked, which often requires pausing the video. By explicitly pausing to name the button, or key stroke, or right click, or escape, then waiting for a second while the listener copies that input, people can keep up in real time without having to continually pause the video.

      @drmseif  3 года назад

      Hi Earl. Thanks for the feedback. Have you watched the introduction and 1-3 Labs. Please do and let me know if you still feel the same way. Also, have you tried to slow the video and find out the speed you like? Best regards.

      @@drmseif yes, I'm working through them in order. They are very good other than the pacing, which I understand may be youtube driven
