This was really helpful. Just one question, if someone's screen is unresponsive how can any of the things other than restarting the phone can help? Every video to solve this problem suggests these solutions. If the screen is unresponsive how can you even tap on settings or do anything else other than restarting. Btw, that restarting tip helped and it saved my day so that you for that.

My issue I have a 12 pro max and the bottom half of the screen on RUclips comments down I can’t click on anything. I can pause the video and pull the video down but can’t click comments can’t click the add nothing.
So I ended up hooking phone up to laptop go to iTunes and do a complete factory reset through it which removes the original iOS download and puts it back. Seems to have fixed it

I had the same problem but mine was unresponsive on the top right side. I just turned the iPhone off and back on and it’s working again.

@@MacBecker I think it’s the iOS. It happened when I wasn’t even on the apps. Hopefully it’ll get fixed in an update and we won’t have to deal with it anymore. 👍

For me my biggest problem is when typing my keyboard selects the letter next to the one I’m trying to hit. For example, instead of “type” I get “tupe”. “Instead” gets “insted”. “Thanks” is “tjanks”. I’m getting pretty fucking annoyed. Autocorrect helps a bit but I also prematurely send messages on Snapchat, etc. I never had this issue with the iPhone 5 and 6s.

Nothing works for me. The only signed ipsw now via iTunes are iOS 16.4 and 16.4.1 I downgraded my firmware to 16.4 but the unresponsive screen touch is not resolved. So annoying.

you can hook phone up to computer or laptop and log into itunes. then do a factory reset through itunes. it actually deletes the factory ios and redownloads it. that fixed my goofy screen issues

@Fix369 you should make a new video with a new method, mine didn’t work at all, even factory resetting it didn’t work, what I did was I force restarted it but I held the side button for a while instead of letting it go
