The freezer trick worked but also you have to combine it with the other steps so 1. Put in freezer for 15 mins 2. Keep spamming all the buttons & also keep trying to hard reset 3. Hit the back of your phone with your knee really hard & the apple logo should stay on this time and actually turn on Follow all these steps and it should turn on, keep repeating if it doesn’t the first time🤝

in my case it was the charging flex cable that was causing the boot loop, if non of this things in the video helps just open the phone and start disconnecting connectors one by one from the motherboard and every time you disconnect certain connector try to turn on your phone and you will find the one causing the boot loop… most often it’s a power button connector, face id or charging port… in some cases even screen connector causes boot loop

I have a way for people to get on their phone if they can get to the PASSWORD SCREEN. .don't type in your password and have someone with you ,call you from their phone to bypass the password screen.., you'll be able to get to your home screen this way. But some apps will still be blank. It'll still give you a chance to access your phones setting etc.

This novel is just to say THANK YOU!! ☺️ Battery health says my battery has significantly degraded so I know I eventually may have to replace it…but at least not just yet!
I have this issue, every week with the iphone 12 mini. It was so terrible, Apple replaced the phone, and then it happened again with the replacement. However the fix I have found is to REMOVE the simcard. This seems to wake it up and reset the loop. It reduces the time its stuck in the loop from 2 days to a few hours. I will never buy a new iphone again. IT is a horrendous problem, that you would not expect from a £800/$1000 phone.
Does your 12 mini just shut off and the loading sign appears? Then it would disappear and re-appear over and over again for about 5 minutes. Then the apple logo would appear, and then the phone would turn on. Then I would try and put in my password and the whole thing happens again. Also, how do I take out my sims card?
@@ariannadevilme4739 hey! so you probably already solved the issue by now but this has been happening to me for weeks and I only just got a solution today. Okay, so for me, this started happening once I had less than a GB less of storage. Meaning, I think it's because of low storage. If you've looked up this issue then you'll probably see sources saying to back up the phone on your computer. But here's the problem: In order for the iPhone to use the "accessories" (for the computer to even acknowledge the device) you have to unlock it. Unfortunately, when you unlock the phone the whole issue of the black buffering screen happens again yet the computer registers that it's connected now. After, though, you'll get the prompt to trust it. Before you can even accept that, the iPhone just turns on again and then loses connection to the computer as a result. Basically there's a whole issue with connecting the phone normally to your computer. Another option is to use recovery mode to restore your phone on your computer. However, for me, it didn't work. This was because in order to restore my phone, I needed to update my phone. However, when my computer attempted to download and install the update, it stopped and said I didn't have enough storage. Even if I tried to click "restore," it still didn't let me due to the missing update + low storage. So if you have this issue as a result of low storage, this is likely not going to work. What ended up working for me (which was a last resort after weeks of trying to keep my data) is going to Find My iPhone on my computer, selected the device in question, and erasing all it's data with the trash bin icon. This marks it as missing/lost but once you authorize that it's you when you set up the device again, it works just fine. If you already solved the problem, then all this information is unnecessary so I'll just say congrats! P.S: A SIM card removal tool should have come with your iPhone, so you can use the tip of that tool to click into the hole on the side of your phone that opens the SIM card. That way you can remove it :) If you don't have the tool, you can probably just get thin paperclip or something thin and slender enough that can poke/click the SIM card tray out of place. Try all this at your own risk!
Not sure what worked for me but put it in the freezer twice (2 mins then 5 mins), smacked it a few times, spammed the on/off a few times & it turned on. Thanks for the tips WorldofTech

Dang... Tried everyone of these to get my phone to restart... None worked until I stuck it in the freezer... 15 minutes, and it came to life.... THANKS!!!!
None of this worked, but what worked for me was putting the phone into recovery mode with a recovery mode button combo and connecting it to iTunes. iTunes recognized a problem and said a update is needed to fix the issue. iTunes downloads the latest iOS keeping all of your files and fixes the problem. Hope this helps others.
@@mollyhaines281 have your phone plugged into computer with iTunes. google the button combination for hard reset, instead of letting go side button when Apple logo appears, keep holding side button until recovery mode is engaged. iTunes will then recognize your device. Hope this helps.
@@priscillagomez6489 you will definitely need a computer to do this. Ask a friend or something. These methods mentioned in the video (in theory) could work, but most likely a boot loop is corrupt iso. You’ll need to put your phone into recovery mode and reinstall the latest os using a computer with iTunes.
Amazing! This actually worked, was truly shocked... Tried all these steps minus the freezer several times, never got up to 7 attempts, but it worked once (for the 1st time) I left the phone in the freezer for 10 min, I opened the freezer & the phone was already on the lock screen! To everyone who may run into this issue here’s the fix if you have maxed out your storage and it’s gives you the spinning wheel every time you unlock it and restarts itself. Have a friend call you , you should be able to answer it, then go to setting then storage delete minimum of 10 go below your limit and then restart it. Hopefully it works for you all like it did us.
iPhone 12 pro max just looping every 3 minutes. Put it in the freezer for 20 minutes and it actually worked. 3 hrs so far and stable 👍👍Apple store told me it was a hardware fault that they cannot find or fix. Thank you
My best guess here is that the problem is being caused by humidity inside the phone case. If the back or front has a crack, or if the phone has EVER been repaired, it is NO LONGER waterproof. I have a cracked iPhone 12. I am going to wrap it in plastic packing tape and see if that reduced the frequency of the problem.
My 12 pro max back is cracked it comes on for a while then the screen gets Black it doesn't shut down right away and reboot thou but after about 20 secs it does same procedure?
Okay, so I did the whole method twice, except the second time, right after I finished smacking it, for the first time ever I saww the restore screen. I currently don't have a USB cable that can work for my laptop so I guess after a couple of minutes the screen disappeared. This video though has given me even more hope that it can go back to normal! I will continue trying the method until hopefully it works! Update: My phone is fixed!! I managed to get an Apple USB cable and plugged it into my computer. Then I UPDATED through iTunes. I was a bit nervous of losing data because that's what an Apple employee said might happen but everything turned out alright! I really think this method helped my phone even get to the point of showing the recovery screen so thank you so much!!!
YES! So grateful for the straight-forward, clear, encouraging directions & voice. With the simple force-restart I was able to get the apple screen and seemingly break the loop, bu then it was stuck on the apple-logo screen. Hitting my phone against the palm did the trick, lol, not unlike the Heimlich Maneuver for food stuck in the air passage. Thank you!

Hey Judith, did your phone remain in good working order, or did it stop working again? Seems like if there is something inside the phone that needed to physically move, it would end up in the same unworking state again sometime.
I had a storage related boot loop - it lasted for 3 days, and I felt like I tried everything. I forced restarted it a hundred times, did the two finger massage, hit it with the palm of my hand, put in the freezer for 10 minutes, let it sit by itself on the charger/off the charger, shut it down for a night, updated it successfully, tried force restarting with the SIM card removed.…just talked to it nicely too lol after updating it, nothing changed and it was still in the loop. Then I found this website that suggested the “iMyFone Fixppo” software, and it had great reviews (a lot of people said that it worked for them, and also that the company had great customer service) so I took a chance. It was $30, but omg it worked! It’s supposed to download updated firmware that fixes the phone (? I think that's what it's doing lol). It took me three tries (and on the third try, I did have to hold the phone in front of the fan b/c I noticed it was getting really hot on the prior tries). But the firmware successfully downloaded, and then the iphone screen went white (with the black apple logo) and told me it was “attempting to recover data,” and then it did and my phone turned on! :) if you’re willing to pay $30, I would definitely try it! Just sharing it for someone who's struggling right now!

Because I had less than 1gb of storage left. Also, do you know if there is any chance of losing data if you use that software? Mine is still restarting every time I unlock the screen (even after restating it like you showed) :( before this problem started my phone was showing that it doesn't have sufficient storage, what do I do to fix this?
@@sophiaoregel9853 so after two days trying to unlock it I was finally able to and I immediately started deleting pictures and some apps and then upgraded my iOS to iOS15.2.1 (someone had told me the previous iOS had bugs that was causing what happened to my phone) hope this helps and you get to fix your phone!

Why does the freezer work?!! Ive tried every step for about a week nonstop. Nothing worked, I finally gave in today and tried the freezer and my phone was on the lock screen when i took it out. It was out of the freezer for a while and shut down again. I put it on an icepack and was able to get my photos off! Thank you!
what is your reasoning to why it’s on bootloop? is it phone storage? if not then it has to be software issues. if you’ve had low storage then that won’t work (example 63 out of 64 GB). you’ll need to wait until your battery draina (which takes up to about a day or two) or have someone contact you repeatedly. if it’s software issues then best thing to do is to take it up to get repaired or if you don’t care about data being lost then itunes recovery.
Just had this problem and thank God I got this video.. I tell you more precisely what I’ve done.. kept banging my phone.. nothing happened.. massaged the phone nothing happened.. shaked it nothing happened.. I freezed it and this time I kept a count when I smacked my phone.. 50 times in the front and 50 times in the back and I had to do it 300 times on the whole and my phone started working as usual.. 😂.. seems funny but it worked.. the power of smacking..

So I haven’t backed up our five week trip out west with thousands of pictures and videos. We do not have fast enough service to back up to I cloud. It’s locked up because the storage is way too full so it’s stuck in reboot. I tried your last tips on a previous video. It is finally off at least with no Apple icon but that’s it.
for storage issues this won’t work. you have to wait until your battery is drained (which takes up to a day or two) or have someone contact you non stop.
Just go to privacy /analytics and improvement/ analytics data, scroll to where you see panic full, look at most recent one. It will describe the fault, and allow you to look up and fix. Mine had a 3 minute restart. it was a failed PRS 0 sensor. It turned out to be a bad pressure/ thermal sensor on the charging flex cable. Changed it out, no issues now.

Built a 12 pro max and it gets super hot and reboots. Suspect 17.4 but won’t stay on long enough to update. Put in low power mode. Reset everything still nothing. Laid it on a bag of ice but still resets. Camera, battery and lcd are aftermarket. Doesn’t seem to get ahead on charge.
I tried all of these and nothing worked. The ONLY thing that worked for me, was getting someone to call me, then swiping up, putting in my passcode and I was able to get into my phone without it automatically restarting. I could access all my apps, so I quickly deleted apps and photos and videos - as much as I could while I was still on the phone with someone. I managed to free up space so it wasn't completely full then I hung up the phone call and now it is back to normal.
@sequoia the lock screen was showing for me every time after it would restart itself. But as soon as I went past the lock screen and put my passcode in, it would restart without letting me in my phone.

THANK YOU. I have been fighting with my daughter's phone all day and it wouldn't even stay connected to the computer long enough to update. As "silly" as the massage method sounded to me, I tried it. Low and behold her phone popped back on like nothing had ever happened! If this had not have worked, she would be looking at a restored phone and have lost all her data! Thanks again!!!!!!

@@ariannadevilme4739 hey! so you probably already solved the issue by now but this has been happening to me for weeks and I only just got a solution today. Okay, so for me, this started happening once I had less than a GB less of storage. Meaning, I think it's because of low storage. If you've looked up this issue then you'll probably see sources saying to back up the phone on your computer. But here's the problem: In order for the iPhone to use the "accessories" (for the computer to even acknowledge the device) you have to unlock it. Unfortunately, when you unlock the phone the whole issue of the black buffering screen happens again yet the computer registers that it's connected now. After, though, you'll get the prompt to trust it. Before you can even accept that, the iPhone just turns on again and then loses connection to the computer as a result. Basically there's a whole issue with connecting the phone normally to your computer.
Another option is to use recovery mode to restore your phone on your computer. However, for me, it didn't work. This was because in order to restore my phone, I needed to update my phone. However, when my computer attempted to download and install the update, it stopped and said I didn't have enough storage. Even if I tried to click "restore," it still didn't let me due to the missing update + low storage. So if you have this issue as a result of low storage, this is likely not going to work.
What ended up working for me (which was a last resort after weeks of trying to keep my data) is going to Find My iPhone on my computer, selected the device in question, and erasing all it's data with the trash bin icon. This marks it as missing/lost but once you authorize that it's you when you set up the device again, it works just fine.
If you already solved the problem, then all this information is unnecessary so I'll just say congrats!
P.S: A SIM card removal tool should have come with your iPhone, so you can use the tip of that tool to click into the hole on the side of your phone that opens the SIM card. That way you can remove it :) If you don't have the tool, you can probably just get thin paperclip or something thin and slender enough that can poke/click the SIM card tray out of place.

Wow; I did the tapping and the massage method! The phone came right on with a hard restart after tapping and massaging the phone.
None of this worked, but what worked for me was putting the phone into recovery mode with a recovery mode button combo and connecting it to iTunes. iTunes recognized a problem and said a update is needed to fix the issue. iTunes downloads the latest iOS keeping all of your files and fixes the problem. Hope this helps others.

@@mollyhaines281 have your phone plugged into computer with iTunes. google the button combination for hard reset, instead of letting go side button when Apple logo appears, keep holding side button until recovery mode is engaged. iTunes will then recognize your device. Hope this helps.

These methods mentioned in the video (in theory) could work, but most likely a boot loop is corrupt iso. You’ll need to put your phone into recovery mode and reinstall the latest os using a computer with iTunes.

Tried all these steps minus the freezer several times, never got up to 7 attempts, but it worked once (for the 1st time) I left the phone in the freezer for 10 min, I opened the freezer & the phone was already on the lock screen! To everyone who may run into this issue here’s the fix if you have maxed out your storage and it’s gives you the spinning wheel every time you unlock it and restarts itself.
Have a friend call you , you should be able to answer it, then go to setting then storage delete minimum of 10 go below your limit and then restart it. Hopefully it works for you all like it did us.

iPhone 12 pro max just looping every 3 minutes. Put it in the freezer for 20 minutes and it actually worked. 3 hrs so far and stable 👍👍Apple store told me it was a hardware fault that they cannot find or fix. Thank you
My best guess here is that the problem is being caused by humidity inside the phone case. If the back or front has a crack, or if the phone has EVER been repaired, it is NO LONGER waterproof. I have a cracked iPhone 12. I am going to wrap it in plastic packing tape and see if that reduced the frequency of the problem.

Okay, so I did the whole method twice, except the second time, right after I finished smacking it, for the first time ever I saww the restore screen. I currently don't have a USB cable that can work for my laptop so I guess after a couple of minutes the screen disappeared. This video though has given me even more hope that it can go back to normal! I will continue trying the method until hopefully it works!
Update: My phone is fixed!! I managed to get an Apple USB cable and plugged it into my computer. Then I UPDATED through iTunes. I was a bit nervous of losing data because that's what an Apple employee said might happen but everything turned out alright! I really think this method helped my phone even get to the point of showing the recovery screen so thank you so much!!!

YES! So grateful for the straight-forward, clear, encouraging directions & voice. With the simple force-restart I was able to get the apple screen and seemingly break the loop, bu then it was stuck on the apple-logo screen. Hitting my phone against the palm did the trick, lol, not unlike the Heimlich Maneuver for food stuck in the air passage. Thank you!

I had a storage related boot loop - it lasted for 3 days, and I felt like I tried everything. I forced restarted it a hundred times, did the two finger massage, hit it with the palm of my hand, put in the freezer for 10 minutes, let it sit by itself on the charger/off the charger, shut it down for a night, updated it successfully, tried force restarting with the SIM card removed.…just talked to it nicely too lol after updating it, nothing changed and it was still in the loop. Then I found this website that suggested the “iMyFone Fixppo” software, and it had great reviews (a lot of people said that it worked for them, and also that the company had great customer service) so I took a chance. It was $30, but omg it worked! It’s supposed to download updated firmware that fixes the phone (? I think that's what it's doing lol). It took me three tries (and on the third try, I did have to hold the phone in front of the fan b/c I noticed it was getting really hot on the prior tries). But the firmware successfully downloaded, and then the iphone screen went white (with the black apple logo) and told me it was “attempting to recover data,” and then it did and my phone turned on! :) if you’re willing to pay $30, I would definitely try it!

@@sophiaoregel9853 so after two days trying to unlock it I was finally able to and I immediately started deleting pictures and some apps and then upgraded my iOS to iOS15.2.1 (someone had told me the previous iOS had bugs that was causing what happened to my phone) hope this helps and you get to fix your phone!

Why does the freezer work?!! Ive tried every step for about a week nonstop. Nothing worked, I finally gave in today and tried the freezer and my phone was on the lock screen when i took it out. It was out of the freezer for a while and shut down again. I put it on an icepack and was able to get my photos off! Thank you!
what is your reasoning to why it’s on bootloop? is it phone storage? if not then it has to be software issues.
if you’ve had low storage then that won’t work (example 63 out of 64 GB). you’ll need to wait until your battery draina (which takes up to about a day or two) or have someone contact you repeatedly.
if it’s software issues then best thing to do is to take it up to get repaired or if you don’t care about data being lost then itunes recovery.

Just had this problem and thank God I got this video.. I tell you more precisely what I’ve done.. kept banging my phone.. nothing happened.. massaged the phone nothing happened.. shaked it nothing happened.. I freezed it and this time I kept a count when I smacked my phone.. 50 times in the front and 50 times in the back and I had to do it 300 times on the whole and my phone started working as usual.. 😂.. seems funny but it worked.. the power of smacking..

My loop is slower. Sometimes it doesn’t reboot for several minutes. It boots to restore mode only when charging. It doesn’t turn on otherwise.

So I haven’t backed up our five week trip out west with thousands of pictures and videos. We do not have fast enough service to back up to I cloud. It’s locked up because the storage is way too full so it’s stuck in reboot. I tried your last tips on a previous video. It is finally off at least with no Apple icon but that’s it.

for storage issues this won’t work. you have to wait until your battery is drained (which takes up to a day or two) or have someone contact you non stop.
Just go to privacy /analytics and improvement/ analytics data, scroll to where you see panic full, look at most recent one. It will describe the fault, and allow you to look up and fix. Mine had a 3 minute restart. it was a failed PRS 0 sensor. It turned out to be a bad pressure/ thermal sensor on the charging flex cable. Changed it out, no issues now.
Boot loops dont always mean repeated kernel panics. If your storage is full it will happen and no panics happen

I spent a good hour or two looking through videos trying to find a fix, and nothing was working. thank god I found this video. my phone got stuck in the boot loop when I dropped it, so smacking it around actually got the bitch to turn back on! Built a 12 pro max and it gets super hot and reboots. Suspect 17.4 but won’t stay on long enough to update. Put in low power mode. Reset everything still nothing. Laid it on a bag of ice but still resets. Camera, battery and lcd are aftermarket. Doesn’t seem to get ahead on charge.
I tried all of these and nothing worked. The ONLY thing that worked for me, was getting someone to call me, then swiping up, putting in my passcode and I was able to get into my phone without it automatically restarting. I could access all my apps, so I quickly deleted apps and photos and videos - as much as I could while I was still on the phone with someone. I managed to free up space so it wasn't completely full then I hung up the phone call and now it is back to normal.

@sequoia the lock screen was showing for me every time after it would restart itself. But as soon as I went past the lock screen and put my passcode in, it would restart without letting me in my phone.
yeah this won’t work if your problem is low storage. you have to either have to wait a day or 2 drain out your battery or have someone contact you.

THANK YOU. I have been fighting with my daughter's phone all day and it wouldn't even stay connected to the computer long enough to update. As "silly" as the massage method sounded to me, I tried it.
