Hello, I love the name Yule Tales. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and have an advent calendar from Wool Maiden (British Columbia, Canada). I was going to make a scarf from it, but when I opened it today I notice that it is a cashmere and silk wool blend and each mini is 87 yards. It’s a special yarn and I have decided to open them all and then decide what to make. Feels nice. No pressure with that! 😄
Lovely Yule tale. So nice to watch 🥰🥰🥰. I'm finishing up the Mega Solar blouse. I also have calendar, but it is a spinning fiber calendar. So much fun 🥰
Love his song! I'll have to hop into the Patreon and catch you guys next year for a yarn swap. So cute how she made the stockings. All the best, Kimberly
Ooh, how nice! My friend and l have done a 'mostly stash yarn' Advent swap as well. The commercial ones are just so expensive (though often a fair price for 24 minis) and this way we are more likely to get the colours and fibres that we each know that we each love! I have started her off on a simple v-neck t-shirt, because she cannot read patterns . . . So this a chance for me to attempt to write down 'verbal instructions' and see if it works. It will be a simplication of a free pattern, Simple Summer Tweed Top Down V-neck by Heidi Kirrmaier. I am still knitting the long boring torso section of my own version, following the pattern fully, and l will also be starting a t-shirt version to knitalong alongside my friend as she opens each ball of yarn and instructions on the 1st, 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th and 20th. So far she loves the dark red l gave her, but says she is bringing it to craft meet on Tuesday (so perhaps the instructions weren't clear enough?) Wish us both luck with those projects!
I have so many plans for December knitting, but first I really want to finish a cardigan for my husband that I started months ago and I now only need to finish the button band. Once that is finished I have some decisions to make of what to knit first! The shawl looks like it could be a fun project, curious to see if you will proceed :) Greetings from Prague, looking forward to tomorrow's episode :)
Lovely to see you, Martina 😊. Such fun to have a handmade Advent calendar ❤. About the shawl: you actually wear your shawls, a lot. So why not make a special one with special memories? I’m currently knitting (still knitting… I stopped to knit some ornaments) the Thaleia shawl by Sari Nordlund… and, I’ve got another shawl on the needles too: More simple Lines. I’ve knit that one twice before as gifts, and love it so much I wanted one for myself. So I switch back and forth, want to make some more ornaments and also have a plain stockinette sweater on the needles. It’s a lot (for me). 😅 If I stick with the Thaleia, I could possible be done in a couple weeks, which would be nice. We are having sub freezing temperatures, and the heating in my car doesn’t work. So I need full on wool whenever I have to drive anywhere! Still, my daily life used to mean cycling through all kinds of freezing rain, snow, etc. 50 min to work (morning and evening). Enjoy your cozy projects!!
Heart-filling!!! LOOOVE!!! ❤
