  • This is a video just for fun
    9Barista is great!
The problem I met was because I burn it twice!!
please wait for my next video, the correct process.

Second fail is probably due to coffee grinds being too coarse to resist the 9 bars of pressure. You need finer espresso size grinds.

The next will probably too fine and pressure built 😂exploded through the safe valve.

How do you brew back to back when you need to adjust grind size? Takes 4hrs to dial in ?😂

Downside of 9b is it's hard to control preinfusion. Gotta know when to lower heat so preinfusion takes places then crank up the heat to extract.

Oh so...over flow is because of coffee grind?

    • @philyao2025
      @philyao2025  2 года назад

it is because the first time of cooking already have the coffee soaked with part of the water, the coffee is up side down position, soaked coffee with the second cook and higher pressure, then ……

Keep going - I have had mine 2 weeks and it’s getting better. I think your coffee needs to be ground at a much finer setting and definitely tamped more, with the portafilter on a firm surface - I don’t think you could get enough pressure supporting the portafilter in your other hand; watch James Hoffmann’s video here on RUclips. It took me about 8-10 tries before I was happy, and I’m still tweaking the grind a little. Nice filming. I’m going to post a video of mine soon. Enjoy getting the best out of it.

@@philyao2025 I have Niche zero grinder, set on 12. With tamper on table top maybe 8-10kg pressure, I find the right heat on the stove so coffee comes up about 4-5 min with good crema. Worth it when you get there.

@@moose99moose For reference, what setting would you use on a standard espresso machine with your Niche Zero grinder? More fine or more coarse? Or the same?

Thanks! @Dyfrig Hughes I would still keep trying to get the best crema here, would keep updating it.

@@philyao2025 I had similar struggles in the begining...i had nothing came out even 8 min already..I .waited a little longer and have same coffee burst event as seen in your video
For me this issue seems because lack of stove heat. I change to a bigger stove section with more heat and seems to be improved, coffee didn't burst out... however no crema
Seems this was happening since i use pregrind coffee with mokapot grind size...😂
I ordered entry level hand grinder porlex mini2...bought fresh roasted bean...grind them with 4 click grind setting....voila....much much better results...the extraction time is around 20 second..crema appears
Quite a long comment..but i hope it help
Felt devastated on my initial attempts I even though my machine broke..but the guys at 9barista give their advise.
Now trying out grind size for best results
