First thing is that if you learn every option in any software then you think you are a design engineer and got a job ... Please man grow up .. if you really want to be adesign engineer then must do the things like visualization of design product the start from orthographic view then make according to the 2d draw 3d then start try to creating drawing on high end software like nx and Catia and creo then you choose your field which you want to be a design engineer.. because design is a vast field only specialization of a particular product is needed... Look at the guy who advise you to about design engineer this guy is a fellow unemployed .so he/she doesn't have any specialization knowledge about design field he only wants to kill your time and give you misinformation ...

bro i want to learn design courses in online portals like udemy , since its cost of learning is very less when compared with offline couching centres which charges around 25k for 4-courses. finally its good to go for online or offline couching centres

Industrial Designers first design the object, or a product/transportation etc then it finalize by whole design team, then it goes to engineering department and then mechanical engineers work on it to build that product!
U r correct in the case of product design / industrial design , but consider in the case of independent agencies like nasa have a team called compass . In this team having engineers ,scientist , system control design team ,etc .. and also highest class of single seater racing competition like f1 have designers including most of them are aerodynamist, mechanical engineers . I know industrial designers like transportation / mobility designers are the key stone of a vehicle , but also they have a engineering team in this crew. Mechanical engineers can turn in to a CAD specialist . A CAD Specialist uses ,design (CAD) software to develop technical drawings, blueprints, or other schematics .His Job duties include translating technical documents into a drawing, evaluating technical design parameters, and working directly with engineers. So in the case of industrial applications mechanical engineer can become a designer. I have said this for your knowledge 😊
