Thank you for this video, it’s very helpful. Could you please do a wound care video using xeroform and silver alginate on a large wide post-op wound? Please and Thank you 🙏
What is the point of keeping the 4x4 and one hand sterile when you're dropping it into the non-sterile hand to clean the wound? I'm not making a rude comment, I really don't understand.
Please do mention names detail of dressing items(like wound bandage etc) in the description.it would be helpful. Or show the items name (to camera) in the coming vedios.
Depends on the clinical symptoms but if it appears overly infected (lots of drainage, redness, fever, odorous drainage) you would notify MD of findings and possibly start a broad spectrum ABT and get a wound culture.
I really need to learn how to change this kind of dressing for my son's leg, but lawd halp me if I am not 6 minutes in, and already wanting to click off. That bubble gum smacking.....
This is MUCH more clear than the ATI video on wet to dry dressing changes. Thank you so much!
GREAT video - well done and informative. Thank you!

Great video but whoever is popping the chewing gum is annoying
Is there any technical way we can teach patients to do this at home?
❤❤great job (clap clap🎉 clap )❤
What’s the indication and contraindication for it?
Next skill test need to be on how to handle tape with gloves 🧤 on.
you broke the sterile field many times
lol
The dressing does not look overly secure? Would it really be left like that or would it be secured further?

The gauze is within the sterile container and the right hand is still sterile
you're right I don't understand either might as well put t directly into the container if you're not keeping th wound sterile
@@monicarenteria6078 thats just to keep the right gloved hand sterile not the wound.
Thanks it's very helpful for my lab examinations 🥰

what would you do about purulent drainage? are oral antibiotics required to be taken for that so it could clear up & go away?
