hi! Love your video! But your tour guide forgot to take you to the best vegan patisserie in all of Paris...VG PATISSERIE! Absolutely the best! She opened in 2017 and was the first vegan patisserie in Paris despite others getting acclaim as being "the first" (in 2020). You MUST go on your own, the next time you are in Paris!
Actually we went also to VG Patisserie and tried there different pastries and cakes. About some of them we are talking in our other video - picnic in Paris 😊
Thank you for your video ! I must say something that I find quite shocking in Vegan restaurants or bakery ... why the prices is 3 times more expensive than in luxury bakery ? A cookie cost 1,45 € in one bakery and there one single cookie ( cant believe it almost ) is more than 4 €, to me it seems weird since butter ( AOP ) and eggs ( organic ) are the most expensive ingredients in nonvegan pastry, but margarine is less cheap. I would like to understand, because as a cook, I am genuinely curious ! I am French and live rural, our croissant used to cost less than 1 € and they are AOP
You have very good observations. Yes, that’s true that very often vegan food pastries are more expensive than non-vegan ones. That can be due to many reasons: some businesses treat veganism as a new hot trend that is only used to make more money, another businesses want to compensate lower volume of production with higher prices, others can buy more expensive products for vegan pastries than non-vegan (for example special vegan butter). Do you cook vegan food?
That was Tuesday or Wednesday before noon. The local guide told us that these places get more crowded in the afternoon. They are not that busy between 10:00 am and 12:00pm during the week.

Which weekday did you visit these places? It’s doesn’t seem too crowded! 👍🏼 Something I’m a bit worried about when I’m going to Paris 🙈
