OP needs to record all interactions with their manager, document everything (write down everything, “Who, What, When, Where”, just the facts). Consider filing a lawsuit against the manager and against the company. Your boss sounds emotionally abusive, and is using “Power Harassment” over you. Go to the Labor Board and report this.
Last Story: He isn't the jerk. it's a bit overkill to check the receipts DAILY, but it's a bit understandable, she was the one that lied to him and even though this is a relatively small situation, it could have evolved into something more seriuos and they both should be more understanding of each others situation

I'm really surprised Larry or the OP or anyone else didn't knock out a few of Tim's teeth after his awful comment towards that female worker. There are some lines that you just don't cross, as both a manager and as a human being. Glad the OP stood up to Tim when the bigwigs were there....but i honestly cannot fathom how Tim wasn't fired over all of this. That is just insane. He's a big lawsuit waiting to happen. I would've cashed that too, and a lot sooner, and since all the calls were recorded... you aren't in the wrong here. Story 5: Seriously?? OP is not a jerk at all here. If the wife isn't being totally honest about what she is and isn't buying, and how much she is spending.... then what else is she doing or not doing. This isn't a case of her just buying make-up and cosmetics, this is about her potentially being shady here. He's not trying to control her, he just wants to know where the money is going.
They literally have the money she would have tried to hide the purchases if she had felt he wouldn't have gotten pissy about it she clearly doesn't feel safe around him or trust him and for him to believe that she should only wear makeup for special events and dinner dates with him so she should only wear makeup to make herself look good for him what makeup was created to make one feel better about themselves
For the last story: The husband wasnt bad, the story said she agreed to all of the terms he gave her, it’s not controlling if he gives her the choice, it’s just finance management, imo it was fair for both of them, but the husband restricting her and putting less trust in her was a bit much, the only thing that was considered to be like a jerk is when he said he would check whatever she buys, he could of just forgave her, husband to wife.
Hes still a jerk in my opinion if she has no financial independence. Imagine going to buy a birthday gift for her husband only to be audited by him cause of a small purchase she made

Exactly. Like that situation could’ve evolved it into something more and start spending money on expensive stuff. I mean hes paying for the both of em 😭😂
I normally don't comment here since most of the time i agree with the out comes, but for the last story the husband is not the jerk. 100% could have been handled better yes, but for her hiding that she is buying make up and extra stuff now and here's the kicker, she does it going out with her " girl friends". So there could be more going on than that since she played the victim card right away when caught.
Oh my god the narrator is diving straight into simp territory yet again. Story 2: OP did nothing wrong. Just saying "Maybe you should stop replying to all your husband's questions so he'll text you less often" makes you a jerk? Hell no. John is being an insecure and paranoid little man. Just because his wife is good friends with a male coworker, he immediately created a one-sided rivalry. Sarah is not cheating on him and it doesn't sound like John has any reason to believe so other than him being paranoid. He has no say in his wife's friendship and he definitely has no say regarding OP, and the fact he thinks he does is incredibly entitled. Narrator saying the friendship should end over that shows how insecure he is. Last story: The wife is literally stealing money. She says she bought groceries and lets her husband pay the bill for it but in reality she lied about it and used some of that money for herself. That's a violation of trust and it's not weird at all that the husband wants some more security regarding this. And remember, the wife should not be upset about this at all, unless she was actually planning on doing it again. I don't get why the narrator pointed out it's unfair for the wife because she's a stay at home mom when she studied to be a doctor when that has nothing to do with the matter at hand. It seems like one of his many attenpts to paint the woman as the victim in the situation.
100% agreeing. the fact she cried and got defensive over the original rule being broken tells you she knows she is in the wrong and trying to cover up the fact she is cheating. Also suddenly putting up makeup for Girls night is the same vain as a guy getting into a fancy suit for guys night
Story 2 John has no right to push himself into op’s friendship with Sarah. John doesn’t truly love her if he’s being this condescending and controlling
Yeah and there's honestly nothing wrong with asking a friend to stop replying so much to their partner while you're spending time together. Being in a relationship with someone doesn't mean you need to be attached at the hip
Yeah because he’s her husband doesn’t mean he’s not controlling the big sign so I’m being controlling and wanting your time every second of every day being way too clingy if that hanging out with a friend get him to call you constantly then what happened if they were your best friend Like childhood is a big sign of not having an actress
You are so wrong with the last story. The wife lied to op and that breaks the trust they had between them, because op is the one that works for the money its his money, not the wifes if she what money for makeup or whatever she can either ask and be honest, or work for her own spending money. Op is not the jerk.
Last story: no he isnt the jerk. She lied about how much she spent on grocceries and bought makeup for herself. And then she gets the nerve to say “you should trust me more” sure its overkill to check the receipts everyday, but she lied. At least tell him if you need the cosmetics.
Story 2: So in order to preserve John's right to know exactly what his partner is doing with OP, OP is expected to take away Sarah's right to spend time with her friend? OP doesn't need to back off because John's insecure, John needs to have a discussion with Sarah about his insecurities and either learn to trust her or break up with her. OP hasn't done anything wrong as far as we know except ask that his friend that he's spending time with text a little less
last story: 1. they both agreed she would be a stay at home mom and if she had a issue with it she could of said 2. well yeah if your wifes lying to you about what she is buying then yeah thats kinda weird all she would have to say is "btw can i use the card to get -insert item-" "oh sorry u cant we need the money for grocerys" "ok my issue is i dont work so i have no way of getting the money " then the conversation continues from there but the poster never mentioned her asking and said she told him a higher grocery price to account for the other stuff she got so he didnt know now sorry but your just wrong
1st story: A manager's job is to be a leader their job is to mentor the employees, and provide assistance so they have the same job as the employees except they are more of a leader
Last story - Totally agree OP is a massive jerk. Is the marriage a financial transaction or what ??? LMAO, maybe not a financial transaction but this is literally slavery. Did you even pay her for her service ???
A lot of your takes are normally hits, but the last one is a surefire miss. If I found out my wife is spending more money on cosmetics and raking up massive bills, I'd be fucking concerned
The doctor story is weird; I agree, but not for the same reason. It is his money she’s spending. If she wants her own money to spend, she should go through the process to get a job to spend it like that. He has every right to be upset about the extra money being spent. However, he did agree to give her a second chance, and I feel it’s not really giving her a second chance to double-check so constantly. Maybe once a week, or once twice a week, but not daily. It seems excessive, unless this is some really, really expensive make-up she’s buying. I know make-up isn’t cheap, but if it’s just drugstore makeup, it’s not that big a deal.
Last story I think the narrator is an idiot. She could communicate to him that she is going to spend a lil more money on herself. Seems like they both agreed that she would be a stay home mom. She wasn't forced. 50/50 is always best it's partnership.
Too many times, stay at home moms aren't given anything, treated like a live in maid without any form of pay, and told that if they don't like it to get a job. But are talked out of having a job or any freedom by pointing out how hard it would be for them to have one. He "let" her get some makeup for an event. So, she's not able to get the things he wants her to put on unless he deems it important enough for her to look nice? Also, she's not allowed to treat herself every now and again? She takes care of the home, takes care of a baby now toddler, and takes care of him and she doesn't get thanks for that? From a grocery store, mind you, which means it was probably something super cheap. She should ignore him, get the paperwork finished, and have her own spending money. And give him half the housework. And make him split the bills. And daycare costs. She moved to his country, knowing it'd be difficult for her to get a job, because it was easier for him since that's where his doctorate is valid without having to go through paperwork. And she's not allowed to treat herself every now and again. Especially *~while~* she's doing household chores?
@kixxenwalla167 did you even hear the story? She was on her way to having a good career but her and the husband discussed that it would be better for her to be a stay home mom. It's not hard doing house chores at your own time. Or raising a baby you decided to have.
@kixxenwalla167 yes I said that. It's not like she is a single parent who also works. Raising a baby isn't a job its your responsibility for having sex and having that baby.
Think about the OP’s perspective, her wife agreed to tell him that she would remind him if she bought anything, and didn’t even control that much, just a reminder she bought things, which is needed since financial managing is needed for a family and it’s understandable, the problem was that she lied to him about it, but the OPs response was very restricting and not the best response. So imagine hearing your wife saying she’ll tell you when she buys things on a ONE TO ONE AGREEMENT, and give her freedom to buy things, but than she lies to you about purchases.
Story 2: I 100% agree on their being both sides. That said, I think John is actually a little more in the right than OP. This situation is 100% between John and his wife. The wife needs to tell John what’s up and have a dialogue, because from what is told John is 100% uncomfortable with his wife talking to OP and that is 100% acceptable. Now why I think John is a tad more right is because Op is making this about him. This is a boundary thing regarding male friends. Also, trying to tell the wife to text less is selfish as, as the friend, he should want to avoid adding trouble to her life
This is what I hate about this channel. It's someone's complaining and the narrative is finished by the narrator's support to the complaining. Who's the jerk? The narrator.
for the last story i have seen alot of people saying op is not the jerk but from what i seen he is the jerk why is he getting mad that she not telling him she buying makeing up like what if she forgotten and got scared like does he get controlling like that if she dont tell him anything like op wife i think you should leave the guy befor he get more controlling like that.
There is a thing called communication, you need it for a relationship and is something she didn't do. She blantenly lied to op about the make up, which is expensive. On top of that, he didn't start looking at the issue till something was wrong. Meaning she must have spent an already decent amount. Would you trust someone who blantenly lied to you avoid your money?
Honest mistakes happen ok but the op didnt had to say give me the Receipts that a bit far because he wanted her as a homewife and share the money ok and relisten to the op saying his story why would he he ask his wife to agree to tell him everything she buys like that kinda weird what if she need to buy like Privit things for herself for her monthy thing does he need to know that?? it seam like what he was doing in the start was kinda controling ish but more looking into it they both kinda in the faults op wife should had told but she could had forgoten but it seam she lie but op didnt had to say what he said after they should had talk about it and move on but nope he wanted to pull a controling mode but that just how i think this went down but i could be wrong and to answer your question i have been lie too but i would try to talk to the person about why they did it like op did but just say "give me the receipts after each time you go buy something" like that wrong they only wanted the recipts so they can prove they bought something he just took it up a nutch because it gonna sound like he cant trust her and it was a honest mistake like i said befor we all lie at some point were not perfect. (sorry for my spelling i have a spelling issue)
@Luciaisasimp I also have a spelling issue, so no biggie. Learning disabilities suck balls. Lol I do agree that asking for the receipts is too far. However, not trusting her because she lied is internally due to her actions. From the sounds of it, this wasn't a one-off event. He didn't know anything was happening until they had an issue with buying needed/wanted stuff for themselves and others. I do agree that they need to talk more. Both do. Howevere the wife is more at fault, and the husband is just pissed that she lied, os it controlling? Yes. Does it make him a jerk? Not really.
hmmm ok what your saying is sound more right by what is going on lol sorry i didnt relide want was really going on but after listening to it two times it let me rethink about wwhat happen@@kano8
So one time i was in the airport then this lady comes up to me and was like hay i want your cat*i had a cat with me because i had a dog sitter but my cat made my sitter leave since zuzzy gets along with cc so cc didn't want to leave without zuzzy so yeah* then my dog zuzzy just goes off barking like hell im a 27 year old man the the Karen says it foy my baby see then i was like my cats not for sell i tell her this as soon as i shush zuzzy then she says ok then what about you dog then i was like HELL NO LADY TAKE A HINT sorry i need to get back home quickly* because my anger issues class was tomorrow* then she picks up my cat and her son was so embarrassed and this just happened2 days ago i might update yall tomorrow
The husband to check himself that for sure, but she did lie when she could have just asked about getting more make up don’t get me wrong. The husband is in control freak right now because of lie but just saying because just ask
I disagree with you, op has the right to know what she using his money on. Also she does have the right to use the money as she see fit but op only wanted her to Communicate what she buy. Op is not controlling what she buys.
That last one, I feel so bad for the wife. This is some kind of abuse on her, I’m sure! He has a problem with her putting on makeup when she goes out with friends? She can only buy makeup for special occasions, and only use the “leftover” makeup for dates with him? He is a control freak! He has to know every penny she spends, how much, and what for? She should start jumping whatever hoops she needs to in order to practice medicine where she is now. She needs to make her own money, and make sure he has no control over the money that is hers.
Story two that friendship with only causing problems for one person he’s your learn that day because you’re someone spouse does it mean you can choose their friends you’re obviously biased on this one
Last story like she might be going through something right now and she just trying to spoil her self so that guy can fuck off fr like the wife is probably going through something and he just shat on her life
Narrator said that the GM's employees are cowokers and, if you've ever been a GM, you realize how toxic that attitude can be. Coworkers make friends and have favorites. It's not good for the person in power to do that.
Story 5. Yes, he is a jerk and an abusive one. That is the definition of economic abuse. Does he presents all of his recipes to his wife? Does he ask for permission too? Is her money too.
last story: Well That relationship is borderline abusive. Oh no! She wanted to buy some makeup to make herself feel good when she gets to have fun. Because what I'm hearing is the husband thinks she can't have anything unless it directly benefits him by making him look good at events with eye candy on his arm. She needs to start figuring out that complicated process and try to take some of her freedom back.
I disagree with you, I think the op would have been fine with her buying things but is mad that she is lying to him. Also op doesn't mind her using his money but he want communicating which she was not giving properly.
@@j_castle9893I agree with you, the OP just wanted to know if his wife was buying things or not, because it’s good to know since he is the only one working, and he has the right to know what she’s buying, and it’s not hard to tell him what she’s buying, the problem was that the wife just lies to him to what she bought, which wasnt right, and the wife DID agree to everything the OP asked, the only jerk move was his response to her lying to him, that response should only be like that if she doesn’t it multiple times after saying not to.
Actually if you read it from his point of view instead of simping for the narrator, the OP said he NEVER said that she couldn't buy things like makeup etc, BUT, she had to show the reciepts in order to prove where she was when she bought them i.e. which shop and what date and how much it was. That's not being a jerk, that's being good with money and the narrator is such a dick for saying "Well you're the jerk for doing this!"

He’s not being controlling like he is her husband
@@The-Negative-Commentator just because he’s the husband doesn’t mean he’s not controlling. Could be narcissistic personality
@@alecedgeworth2814 or it’s one of those bad gut feeling situations
It should be Southern State not BAKED poultry. 🤭🤭
You mean KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken
Happy new month guys 🎉🎉🎉
Story 2: So in order to preserve John's right to know exactly what his partner is doing with OP, OP is expected to take away Sarah's right to spend time with her friend? OP doesn't need to back off because John's insecure, John needs to have a discussion with Sarah about his insecurities and either learn to trust her or break up with her. OP hasn't done anything wrong as far as we know except ask that his friend that he's spending time with text a little less
W TO LARRY, LARRY IS AMAZING
last story: 1. they both agreed she would be a stay at home mom and if she had a issue with it she could of said 2. well yeah if your wifes lying to you about what she is buying then yeah thats kinda weird all she would have to say is "btw can i use the card to get -insert item-" "oh sorry u cant we need the money for grocerys" "ok my issue is i dont work so i have no way of getting the money " then the conversation continues from there but the poster never mentioned her asking and said she told him a higher grocery price to account for the other stuff she got so he didnt know now sorry but your just wrong

this manager is a jerk, since he yelled at his coworkers like that.
but i'm glad that op and his coworkers made him get demoted to assistant manager.
@@viviennemorgan7217 He should've been fired not demoted.
@@QuickManEXE why fired it's not like he's sleeping with female coworkers or hitting all of the coworkers.
What that fucking manager said in the first story about the was the same thing my uncle told me and it hit a big fucking nerve
I don’t know about anyone else. But anybody who can’t trust me enough with other people is not someone to persue a relationship with
I would have demoted him down to busting tables something like that
Has there ever been a story where the OP was the jerk?
It does happen, but at least nine times out of ten it's not the OP who's the jerk.
@@llcoojoe20 It's not hard raising a baby? Is that really what you're saying?
Story 2: Key lines "When we were virtual' and 'prejudice" I'm guessing that OP is non white and he didn't know until they were back in person
Also, trying to tell the wife to text less is selfish as, as the friend, he should want to avoid adding trouble to her life
What’s the game being played
This is what I hate about this channel. It's someone's complaining and the narrative is finished by the narrator's support to the complaining. Who's the jerk? The narrator.
For the last one i strongly disagree if they are in a situation tight whit money and the wife overspends the money shes the jerk
Vca = vertical cat action
What does it actually mean???
You know, sometimes I do agree with a lot of things that the narrator says. But then sometimes he just throws a random curve ball.
WOOOOO
EDIT:aw fuck
Hi
Story 1 happened at kfc
Story 5: not the 🍑🕳️ but no matter what a front line person says they can take that money
for the last story i have seen alot of people saying op is not the jerk but from what i seen he is the jerk why is he getting mad that she not telling him she buying makeing up like what if she forgotten and got scared like does he get controlling like that if she dont tell him anything like op wife i think you should leave the guy befor he get more controlling like that.
Honest mistakes happen ok but the op didnt had to say give me the Receipts that a bit far because he wanted her as a homewife and share the money ok and relisten to the op saying his story why would he he ask his wife to agree to tell him everything she buys like that kinda weird what if she need to buy like Privit things for herself for her monthy thing does he need to know that?? it seam like what he was doing in the start was kinda controling ish but more looking into it they both kinda in the faults op wife should had told but she could had forgoten but it seam she lie but op didnt had to say what he said after they should had talk about it and move on but nope he wanted to pull a controling mode but that just how i think this went down but i could be wrong and to answer your question
i have been lie too but i would try to talk to the person about why they did it like op did but just say "give me the receipts after each time you go buy something" like that wrong they only wanted the recipts so they can prove they bought something he just took it up a nutch because it gonna sound like he cant trust her and it was a honest mistake like i said befor we all lie at some point were not perfect. (sorry for my spelling i have a spelling issue)
@Luciaisasimp I also have a spelling issue, so no biggie. Learning disabilities suck balls. Lol
I do agree that asking for the receipts is too far.
You realize in last story more and more couples are keeping seperate fonances. I dont understand this and i blame women in heneral for the change.

Last story I dont agree at all with you.

No he’s solely responsible for the card. She broke trust. It’s not in her name.

last story: Well That relationship is borderline abusive.
@@j_castle9893I agree with you, the OP just wanted to know if his wife was buying things or not, because it’s good to know since he is the only one working, and he has the right to know what she’s buying, and it’s not hard to tell him what she’s buying, the problem was that the wife just lies to him to what she bought, which wasnt right, and the wife DID agree to everything the OP asked, the only jerk move was his response to her lying to him, that response should only be like that if she doesn’t it multiple times after saying not to.
yeah the op never siad she coulded buy the make up he just wanted her to let him know
Actually if you read it from his point of view instead of simping for the narrator, the OP said he NEVER said that she couldn't buy things like makeup etc, BUT, she had to show the reciepts in order to prove where she was when she bought them i.e. which shop and what date and how much it was.
That's not being a jerk, that's being good with money and the narrator is such a dick for saying "Well you're the jerk for doing this!"
The problem isnt the makeup, its that she lied
