This is helpful.. I‘be got a Kessler branded Meyer style tenor mouthpiece that sounds good.. The D’Addario H ligature that came with it is too large.. and my regular D.Bonade inverted lig that I normally use is also too large.
Do you think it would be able to fit a Vandoren v16 B7? Most Bari ligatures are too big for it and I needed to order a ligature specific to that mouthpiece because it’s a lot thinner than other mouthpieces.
I use a syos tenor custom mouthpiece and for some reason whenever I try to screw the ligature, it slips up, and keeps sliding up. It’s unusable and I’m really sad, does anyone else have a solution? Please help me
super thorough, high quality video and review. you’re just what the saxophone community wants/needs!
I appreciate it, Adam!
So glad you added the vandoren v16 b9 to the list! I play bari and alto and love BSS reeds And hope to try the ligature in future months
It looks to be a great ligature!!!!!,Great video!!! I love the cap too!
I love the vinty and minty! These videos are wicked!
thank you!
Love the look of this ligature!
Great video Derek, Very cool lig, im very intrested in it! keep it up!
That’s cool that it has exacting tapered shape. Id like to see you compare it to say a strap style lig like a Rovner.
Will do!
You should review the new Dickerson Resonator Ligature on Reverb & ebay-very different
Cool review Derek. Thanks!
Thanks, Cy :)

Really great video!
great video!!
Mini “Jack” Hammer ;)
I tried the ligature on my SYOS Chad LB piece and it keeps sliding up and then just falls off when I am playing. Is there a fix for that?
You could add some tape on the inside to make the inner diameter smaller
But the SYOS lig is made to exactly fit.

Yes, B7 is the same body as B9, just a more closed facing.
Thanks for the review Derek, thinking of purchasing the superlative ligature, would it fit a Vandoren T55 Tenor Mouthpiece?
Yes, I believe so. I tested it on the V16 and it worked
@@SaxSpy Thank you Derek, I appreciate your review.
What is total cost, Price?
base is $99 I believe
Would these fit the Theo wanne metal pieces?
no

You can put a small piece of natural cork on the inside of the ligature and sand it to size
But is it worth the cost?
I believe so. The brass has been my main on just about every tenor piece. I do regret the silverstein cryo4 i spent $300 on
@@SaxSpy Good to know! Thanks! (And I can't believe a Silverstein being worth the cost... It's a ligature!)
@@SomeGuyOnSax their packaging likely costs more than the ligature
@@SaxSpy That have me a good chuckle haha.
Why are they so hard to get 😭
so many get them!
How much it cost?
$98
Thanks
