I just found your RUclips channel today, March 07, 2024. I live near San Francisco, California. I am hoping you are willing to share the English language names for the various makers of the paints you use as well as the brushes you use, and where in California I could buy the Washi paper? Is this the famous paper made from the Mulberry plant? Or, perhaps you could recommend a store in or near San Francisco, California, and suggest items similar to what you are using? English language names would be so helpful in trying to describe the tools you are using. Do you have a favorite paint maker? Or does it depend on the minerals needed to create the colors you want? Or, favorite hair brushes? Are they synthetic? or Squirrel, or Horse, or Goat, or Sable? Your artwork is beautiful and creative. You show many different steps needed for each painting. Thank you and best wishes from San Francisco, California
Thanks for doing the English subtitles. I wanted to ask what you are using when you are stretching the washi onto the panel with the hake brush. Is it just plain water or are you using nikawa? I use a similar method, putting pressed watercolour paper onto panels, but I use rabbit skin glue solution, the same thing as nikawa.
Hi! Does the washi paper that you use have a sizing? Or is it of the traditional kind without sizing on its surface and you have to prime it with something before start painting? I btw mount with the exact same method light weight watercolour paper on panels. Washi paper is not an option in my country let alone in such size.
@@google-is-invasive Thank you for the suggestion but I am in a EU country and whatever comes from US or Japan or China is due to import taxes. So there is no way to buy such kind of products unless I import them in bulk quantities as a importer, distributor or reseller. I'm none of these. I'm just a watercolour artist. But thank you either way for your kind suggestion. :)

Hey! I'm not sure what country you're in, but there's this site called Hiromi Paper where you should be able to find washi paper. c:
