My man, you are in the middle of creating the most useful and approachable masterclass on the subject of content creation. You aren't uptight, you aren't claiming to be the best, you are sharing experience and realism in a way that is understandable to people from beginner to advanced, packaged in a beautifully normal video series. Well done.
One thing I've learned about editing over my decade of being in the industry is that most times, less is more. It feels like we need to be adding or fixing or adjusting things. That's why an edit never feels complete lol However, we just have to accept that the edit is how we envisioned it and whatever we thought we wanted to do can always be done in the next one. That's the beauty of this field !
Might have the next Peter McKinnon on our hands here. I bought the LUT pack, always happy to support creators that provide value, and I’ve been seeing your short form content for awhile now and picked up a lot of helpful tips from it. Happy to find you on RUclips and check out your long form content, thanks for passing on your knowledge. Excited to try out the LUTS👍🏼
Man, I love your content, didn’t know you until a few days and I’m super in, love your style, your energy, I don’t usually comment but I got to say it. Thanks man ❤
@Adrain, you are killing it, bro! As a drone content creator, I can relate to all the behind-the-scenes work we do day and night! Thank you for making me feel I'm not alone. 💯✊
Great video. I feel like this got me years worth of knowledge and ahead as a beginner. The Q&A was also super helpful if you want to keep doing those 👌🏼. Yes to the color grading tutorial!
I'm a Brazilian videomaker and I've been inspired by your content. In Brazil, when someone is good at what they do we say "VOCÊ É FODA! (You're badass)". Thanks AP!
Dude i am so pumped i came across your channel. I’m Starting my editing journey today. Currently run a social media strategy business but we have always outsourced our editors. Offering quality edits will really take us to the next level. Seeing all the self made editors that have learned most of what they know from RUclips for free is unbelievably motivating. I Love this community and i hope i can play a bigger role when I figure this all out to give back to the next generation of content creators and editors! I have a long way to go but I’m ready to give it my all. Much respect to you for this free information.
Love it! Exactly what I am looking for on the RUclips University! Thanks for taking the time to put these together. Editing improvement is my goal! Your style is superb, what a talent!! Looking forward to the colour grading video!
7:34 *literally* you don’t understand how much i *appreciate* you for putting captions on your videos!🥺i have a hard time *concentrating* on talking in videos often if they *don’t* have captions! *ps* you posting on YT now is improving this whole app so much!!🎉😃
THIS WAS INFORMATIVE!!!! I loved it!!! your dog is cute, your cute, and I learned alot. The color grading will be clutch! I will be getting. I use Artlist for the room Tone! It def makes a difference! Thanks!
Oh man I was waiting for this one. Day 4 LFG. My notes: 1. Mark In and Out and drag the clip for faster workflow 2. Record ambient sounds on phone and store them 3. Google "Track FX Editor" for audio editing 4. "Room tone is the glue between your clean vocal, sound design and music... Its not meant to be heard its meant to be felt" Love the Q&A segment. More of it fo sho.
Adrian, hi! Im VideoSchnittmeister and I want to say thank you for the cool reception. I like the way the video looks, where the expert part is with loot. And the live-style moments are in vhs format, while the sound is also made for it. Separate respect for 4:3
YOU KNOW you are an editor when your back is rounder then the earth man... All jokes aside tho, I like your vids man, I hope one of your next video's is about how you script your video;s. From picking a subject to writing the script to picking B roll and then shooting it!! Deffinitely got my sub and like!
Great video. Your advice to just start editing resonated with me. Because I’m just starting out and I’m terrible at it but can’t wait until I get more comfortable with it.
I would like you to explain how you create the paper version of your edits. How do you determine that a particular shot or close-up, arranged in a specific sequence, will be the most engaging for the audience? As I understand it, you first write a script for what you want to say, and only then do you match it to the visuals and specific shots?
This is a gem! Thank you so much for making this. I love your videos and discover you on IG :) Please do the color grading video! I also dont understand the filing part for white balance...can you emphasize on that too please?
Also, the fact that this content isn’t behind a paywall is crazy 🙌🏼 We appreciate this series!
That part
11:01 we need a color grading tutorial. I’m loving these daily videos so far ❤️❤️
