Basically it's a Korg Pa50 or Korg Micro arranger in the sound department ,but they have full 16 track sequencing capabilities.

'Question: I have a Yamaha E463 keyboard. I use the "accompaniment function," which allows me to use my left hand for just some one or two finger cords, while playing along with my right hand. Not being a power-player I enjoy playing using the "Easy Fake Books" sheet music. I don't really have time, or want to learn all the complicated cords. So will the EK-50 also work for me?

Excellent video thanks.cWhen I just want to play without accomp using Grand Piano or guitar etc, I can't get the volume of that sound to go louder it's very feint. The accomp volume is fine but when I select another intrument to play without accomp it doesn't go louder. I press the keyboard set and turn the wheel but that doen't make any difference any suggestions?

Keep in mind that most Keyboard Sets have a split point in the middle of the keyboard. The primary sound will only play if you play keys to the right of the split point. You can try turning off the split point with the Split button however this will disengage the chord recognition function so backing tracks will not follow your left hand chord changes.

Thanks. Despite searching, I still haven't found the answer I'm looking for - can the EK-50 be plugged into a computer in order to control input for use with editing/music creation software? I'm a beginner/learner but I want a keyboard I can grow into and not leave me wanting in, say, a year's time. Hope you understand what I mean and can help!

It can be used as a controller for your music software via the USB B port for connecting personal computers

@@AdminVortex762 I am using the Korg EK-50 with Samplitude Music Studio 2019 on Win 7 and it works fine with the VST Instruments. Even without instaling any Keyborad Driver.

I'd like to get one of these but I'm afraid it's designed too much for genres that don't interest me. I just want to rock. Somebody help me.
