    My uncle was driving his tractor in Gonzales, Texas when a passing train disturbed a killer bee hive. He was stung 500+ times while trying to get away from them. He took a few Benadryl and had my aunt drive him to the hospital immediately. Taking the Benadryl saved his life!

      Benadryl? so the anti histamine effect lessened the bodies reaction to the massive flow of bee venom and saved his body from going into some kind of shock or shutdown?

    I heard that about the pheromones before but I never knew it could go into your blood stream if you got stung.. and for a week well that's scary considering you could get attacked by angry mobs of thousands of bees just walking down the street..
    Seeing as these smells are specific for the different colonies, I wonder does that mean that if you get this pheromone that makes you a "marked" man, is that also specific to the colony that bee came from, or is it a universal pheromone that a bee from any colony would respond and attack?
    I'm just thinking that if you are dealing with a specific hive and get stung, well those bees are basically gone from the area so I was wondering if you would still be marked for other bees when you leave that area?

    • @KillerBeeGuy
      @KillerBeeGuy  11 месяцев назад +1

      The attack pheromone is the same for all honeybees. Any hive would see you as the enemy. Best idea is to not get stung!

      David, great to meet you! Where do you keep bees? You are right not wanting anything to do with these. They are horrible! A swarm of these bees will go as far as 2 miles from the parent hive to set up shop!

      I’m in Kentucky. I have had aggressive bees. I had some that followed me as far as 1/4 mile after opening the hive. I felt somehow I must have Africanized genetics, but after contacting state beekeeper. It’s like they are in denial that aggressive bees could be Africanized in any way. I broke them down into nucs, tore out queen cells, placed mated queens and calmed them down. But 2 of the 5 nucs killed my queen and died. It was like they only wanted their queen or nothing

If they go into attack mode before you start spraying will be be hurt and anyone around too. Some exterminators will want to come back at night. These are not paper wasps.
