I bought mine from my local Apple shop about a month ago. (March 2024). No light in box or USB to Lightening cable, or fancy case. And the fitting for the lamp on my Magnetic clamp did not look like it would take the lamp in the way that you show. Noted your review is two months old so is it a case that Apple stock was older than the model you are reviewing. Good gimbal though and good video from you!

Unfortunately, there is no Apple Log option with the instar360 app. You will need to use a gimbal with hardware AI support like then ones from Hohem. You can use any pro camera app.
The most important information for using it with the iPhone 15 Pro Max - where do you active Pro Res Log in the App? If it can't shoot Log its a waste of time pairing it with the 15 pro Max.
Hey mate, yeah you can’t use Pro Res / Apple Log with the Insta360 Camera App. But there is no reason why you couldn’t use this gimbal with a pro camera app like Filmic Pro or Black Magic. The only feature you won’t be able to use is the AI tracking. 👊🏽
great review! I just picked up an external ssd (sandisk extreme) which I plan on mounting to the back of my iPhone 15 pro max...do you think that would add too much thickness to the setup? if so, how would you mount an external ssd? thx!
There are many companies, but I think you’ll find a decent one @ SANDMARC but you’ll have to buy a third party lens to attach to it and the company I referenced has an amazing lineup of lenses that give you the clip with the lens... Happy shooting!
My question is if it can only barely support 300g, how can the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a Freewell case and filters support it? , if all this weighs almost 400 gr. I watch videos like yours on RUclips and it seems to me that the motors cannot support this weight. ? So don't sell us a product that can't handle those phones because you show it with them, aren't you deceiving future buyers? . I follow you and you make good videos but don't sell us things that can't be.
I make it very clear the payload of the gimbal. At no point did I say that it can handle anything more?? In this video, I didn’t use any of the Freewell gear, it’s too heavy. I used a clip on filter for a reason, to keep the weight down! I’m not selling you anything here. I’m giving my opinion on a good light travel gimbal. Please get your facts straight before commenting. Just because I use Freewell gear in other videos, doesn’t mean I’m saying that you can use that gear with this gimbal. If that was the case, I would said so.

Yeah you can use any video app, but you can’t use any of the AI features. Those are only available in the insta360 camera app.

I have to say that I think it would be too thick. The Flow is very lightweight and is really only designed for a phone on its own.
