      In Nigeria, I don't think there's anything like basil leave. We only make use of pumpkin leave and scent leave 🤷

    Nne what u are making is stew banga not ofeakwu stew but anyways everyone have there own recipe sha but in Igbo land I have not seen were they add tomatoes in banga stew and curry oooo

    I have banga seed in the house and will definitely prepare it tomorrow for my lunch but Ugu leaf I do not like it in banga stew, only scent leaf am using
    I will use your method and see the different with the one I learnt from my grandmother

    I stay in south africa i use basil in stews so delicious didnt know i cud use it in ofe akwu i also got dried scent leave can i put the both leafs

      Kale is a good substitute for ugwu. It also has that crunch to it just like ugu. I use that instead of spinach.
