I think being a "true stacker" would be pretty boring. Just buying the lowest premium silver and relying solely on the price of silver to go up as a hedge is something I'm glad I never stuck to. Collecting has not only been far more enjoyable, but also far more financially beneficial.

@@Tracy-wr7mj Just sold some over the past month. I keep a check of what's doing well and what's not. For example, I bought the first issue of the two coin mexican proof & reverse proof set around 2015 for $200. Sold it a couple years ago for $450. The original outlay usually goes back into metals.

Collectors don't sell so unless you sell its not financially benefiting at all. Collectors suck at security as well and will end up robbed because they want to look at it because it's shiny. Materialistic mindset is for peasant class.

The 100k watches are interesting. I did a little research on them because I know nothing about watches and couldn’t fathom how one could cost so much. It turns out a Swiss made watch of the same type can fetch something like 50k, and it has 30 grams of gold and some tiny diamonds, so it’s not entirely a hunk of junk. But from what I’ve read, watch experts have said the mechanism is likely assembled in China with only a few parts being of Swiss origin, making the watch much closer to melt/diamond weight value. Again, appears to be more of a donation than a product worth anything near the asking price. I just hope no one buys one thinking they can flip it ever.
