Actually he'll be great when he learns to be great in defeat and when he plays against crowd for 20 years, for no reason but being himself and better than their favorites - like Novak had to do. That's true mental strength and greatness. Carlos is young kid, but with great talent, but if he doesn't master mental stability, he might burn out fast. That would be pity.

Both Novak and Carlos are genuine and down to earth personalities. They are bold and determined, respectful towards those who deserves respect and don't bow down to circumstances, pressure. Novak has been in this position for more than one and half decade fighting against all the odds and adversities. I honestly don't believe it. The achievements of the Big 3 are not only incredible on paper, they are even more incredible due to the fact that they achieved it all playing against each other.
Even if Carlos had a resume comparable to theirs, the question will always be asked: "Yes, but is the competition you played against as strong as the Big 3"? "Are you greater than Nadal if we know that Nadal won all of his trophies playing against peak and prime Federer AND peak and prime Djokovic while you played against far weaker competition"?
I don't believe Alcaraz will be the GOAT. Not without 2 more all time greats next to him as his greatest rivals.
