    So fortunate to have someone with real experience such as yourself to comment on this SOP. I have been really enjoying using this SOP as I always fly Ryanair when flying in Europe in the simulator. I did explain the issue with the ‘bug up’ command in detail and supposedly it was fixed in the patch, but I have also noticed that isn’t the case over the past few days. This one really ‘bugs’ me if you’ll pardon the pun. 😂

      If you're in Voice Control, you can say "Bug Up" a second time and it will set the bug correctly. Well, as correctly as possible, since the actual UP speed can't be read out of the PMDG by FS2Crew.

    • @WorriedGranpa
      @WorriedGranpa Год назад +4

      Its Ryanair specific (or at least up to the operator) and not a Boeing procedure.
      As a far as I know (being a ryr pilot myself) its probably because by limiting the bank angle to 10, you limit the G forces, and stay farther away from an accelerated stall when approaching aerodynamic ceiling. Ryanair likes to stay on the safe side when it comes to SOP, so we have all these small extra things that we have to do (that other airlines don't).

    I had a go at this sop yesterday and found it a nightmare. Felt everything was stressfully quick and surprised thst you do everything as the pilot flying unlike sop one where your co pilot does a fair bit of the systems while you can concentrate on flying and setting up the route, payload etc will have another go later. Hated the checklist before full flaps also fell that would be to much workload on a visual or circlying apprach for example

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  Год назад +4

      SOP2airline doesn't fly visual approaches by their original meaning, but self build FMC RNAV approaches which they then call a visual. check my tutorial on visual approaches to see how they do it.
      The PF does more in this SOP, but for example in Airbusses it's standard that the PF does everything as well. They are quite close to Airbus SOP, which is a good thing if you ask me.
      Once you're used to it it becomes really intuitive and quick as well.

    Word is, the FO is still asking for the landing lights at the gate 😆 It's a shame that the scenery bleeds through the haze. EIDW is the only European airport I've been to and I would like a nice rendition. The performance complaints made me hold off and now the terminals bleeding though is another thing I would not like. I have never seen the bleeding building problem on a default airport.

    Boarding music should be illegal. I'd ask for a rebate if an airline would torture me with music, while I board an aircraft.
    By the way you should reset the purser volume in FS2 Crew. I turned it way down, because it is simply way too loud by default. You would never hear the safety briefing that clearly.
