In think family vlog we test out the new Gopro Hero 7 Black as our vlogging camera for the day. I have to say I didn't expect to like it this much. Watch and find out how it did.

Expose The Heart are San Antonio photographers husband and wife team David and Irene. We specialize in wedding photography, but also shoot commercial, portrait, newborn, maternity, senior, and fine art work.

Oh man, this was super helpful! I've always loved the size and versatility of the GoPro line, but have hated how unstable the image and audio were. However, this looked AND sounded great. I think this may be the GoPro that converts me to buying one. Thanks for sharing!
I am a big gopro user and I love using it for any and all shots. We use our primary camera for vlogging but you could get away with a gopro for vlogging if you really wanted to. It is so smooth
The GoPro is so smooth and clean shots. I would use it for action and use another camera for vlogging. You could really use whatever you have. That’s a pretty nice size pumpkin patch and looks like a lot of fun! Looks like you al had an awesome day there

I love when they have wagons like that at a pumpkin patch. I used to live in SA and miss it so much!
The wagons is one of the reasons we like this patch. SA is a great city. I’d miss it to if I had to move. I bet where you are now is fun too though.
I am pretty impressed how clear the colors from the pumpkins came in and the sunlight didn't effect the picture. Great video and experiment

Ive never used a go pro but the footage is crisp and clean. I dont see why one camera cant be used for everything!! ive never seen so many pumpkins in one place!!

We don’t have a GoPro but I’d say it did great! We just use our cell phones to vlog for now until we can afford a camera.

That's a big pumpkin patch. The go pro get good video! Did you mostly carry it or clip it onto the wagon? Looks like the perfect day for being outside too.
I would carry the GoPro and use it on a little bendy tripod. I also had a head strap that the little one had on in a few shots.

Having a GoPro Hero 5 Black for a few months now the quality is alright, it’s what I could afford at the time for my channel. But this, THIS makes me want a Hero 7 now! The quality is insane! 😩
I rocked a Hero 3 for a long time. I didn't feel the need to upgrade until this one came out. I mainly got it for the stabilization. As a photographer I own and have access to a lot of equipment. One thing I have learned is that It's not about the quality or price of your gear. It's how you use the gear you have and how creative you can get with it. Keep at it.
Expose The Heart You’re right, I’m sure there’s still a lot that I can learn about the Hero 5. I have experience with RUclips just not any camerawork so it’s all new to me lol
So question what did you use for your holder of the gopro? Have you used the karma grip they have? It is insane how amazing it is and it gets some of the smoothest shots. I was impressed with whatever you used because it seemed cinematic quality!
I just used an old generic bendy tripod most of the time. The smoothness came from the GoPro hero 7 hypersmooth stabilization. It’s one of the reasons we picked it up. It’s only available in there hero 7 Black No gimbal was used. Most everything was shot at 24p 4k and 60p 4k. We were quite impressed how stable everything was. The only other mount we used was the head strap for the toddler POV.
How do you like the go pro? Is it worth buying? And this pumpkin patch looks absolutely amazing. I’m hoping to go to one soon
If you have a GoPro 5 or 6 it might not be worth the upgrade. We are coming from a hero 3. So it was leaps better that we were used to. What really sells this camera is the hypersmooth stabilization. It helped make those shots smooth and stable without a gimbal. It is only available on the hero 7 Black. If you are in the market and need an action cam, it is worth it for sure. But I think the $399 could be better spend elsewhere if you already have an action cam.
