She's been to the DMZ, she's been to North Korea.... ok? Cool? I've been to England, I've been to Buckingham Palace, I didn't meet Queen Elizabeth II. I'm a vet tech from North Carolina, I have about as much reason to meet any world leaders as the governor of South Dakota, that's not part of the job.
Just as a little "fun" detail, since you mention a Queen here, I can add, that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez already during her first year in US Congress (2019) met a future Queen (of Danmark). AOC was invited to a Climate Forum here in Danmark as a guest speaker . I have no idea, who she met or talked to during that, but it was a Forum for the Mayors of 40 of the largest cities in the world. AOC was invited due to her Green new Deal resolution, and our then Crown Prince couple were official Protectors of the Forum. They hosted a Royal Dinner for the participants, and AOC was seated at the table with Crown Princess Mary, who is now our Dronning Mary af Danmark. I have not heard AOC "brag" about that, though!

In my experience, policy is NOT written by elected officials. Party policy is written by party executives and voted on by the membership.

In 1994 she was a 22-year-old college dropout working on the family farm. And I'm skeptical that she was doing anything meaningful at that time.

Did you know that any American can buy tickets for a USO tour to camp Boniface, which is a small US Korean joint base right next to the bridge going to the DMZ?
