Whenever I hear John's songs, I do one of three things,I laugh,I cry or I listen in wonder. Sitting at the feet of the master!

John, I've been a fan of your music since I first heard it probably 15 years ago. Slow Turning is one of my favorite albums of all time. :)

Bob Dylan stated that he was not of the Caliber of John Prine regarding song writing. I never saw or heard Mr.Dylan reference MR. JOHN HIATT. BUT IT'S a toss up in my opinion. These performers won't be around Metaphysicly or just dirt in the ground. John's already resting peacefully. Listen to the big three I've me
    ntioned. You won't be disappointed.

I was 13 when Slow Turning was released. It was one of the few CDs that my dad owned, and it was played continuously. This is one of the few albums I will never be able to get out from under my skin.

Beautiful tune. Considering the references to all that's "frigid", it might have been a song written by Albert Collins!
