It would be great if there was a way to tell if your online friends are actively in a raid or not before sending invites
I'd also like to be able to invite online friends without being listed as online. I don't always have remote passes, but I do love to invite people to raid together. Not so much fun when I'm trying to invite, but keep getting invites popping down.
Also wish there was some sort of better notification, to let you know that you recieved a raid invite, while sending gifts etc...
sucks to exit out and realize you missed an invite that you could have accepted (if it wpuod have just popped up) 🤷♀️🤦♀️
Not always just sitting on main screen in game, even tho you're actually wanting invites
And yes I have checked both the settings in game and on my phones notification settings lol
Pogo is set to even go off when I'm in dnd mode and it's great when you're on another app (to pop up etc), but when actually IN GAME I don't find it actually shows me there's an active invite 🙄

Another event not all players can take part in unless in London or the USA.. I wish they would do more for the everyday player that can't travel to places around the world.

If i could afford to travel around the world pokemon go in person events would not influence my travel plans in any way. But the game is a fun bonus while travelling.
This in person event only makes one beast available in america that hasnt been available here before, and its useless. Itll come around eventually. Other than that you may bump into a youtuber. Again, nothing to shape travel plans around.
So true man only players who can afford to travel can enjoy these events

Was there yesterday! Pure chaos and madness but it was a lot of fun. The music was hype af. It was so hard to click on Pokemon on the ground because of all the gyms though. 😆 Managed to snag a 96% Celesteela, 98% Buzzwole, and 96% Pheromosa. Wish I'd found you to get one of those Singapore 'mons!
Nah the music sucked. It was the same repeat sound effect for more than an hour! Still a great event though

This seems like a really fun event and I really enjoy your content. I must admit though that it is pretty discouraging seeing stuff like this done for just the small number of Pokémon go players who are able to physically be at these events. We already don’t have access to entertainment options generally, but it’s especially frustrating to feel alienated by a game that I’ve played since the day it was released. The pandemic may be over but it really didn’t seem that difficult for them to be inclusive and I wish they would go back to that.
I'm jealous too, but what can you do. It's not like pokemon ho was ever fair from the start. I literally had 1 pokestop in my whole town for years
Seems like a fun event. Hopefully they bring these types of events to other cities in the future.
I went to the london event. I will start this by saying yes sure it's good that we had a free event etc. But it was really not particularly amazing when you take into account the sort of money niantic has. The "light show" was quite boring. And the organisation was awful. Phone signal was a pain in the ass for almost everyone. The ticket was handed out maybe 40/50 mins before event started. The obvious thing would have been to hand them out so people could leave and come back to event space rather than standing in the cold for two+ hours. Niantic really did not inspire me to want to go out of my way in future. This game just keeps letting me down. The direction it is going is not a good one. They say they want communities coming together etc but make remote passes the clear choice from a price standpoint, and seem to be trying to force us to participate in unethical loot box mechanics. By this point niantic should have real world permanent structures like poke cafe where trainers could go meet battle with holographic tables or something.

How fun this event looked it saddens me that all these big events like safari zones all happen in specific cities far away from most people, with no way of participating.

I've only seen something like that one time in Pokemon Go and that's in Milan. There were much fewer gyms but there's this castle in the city center that has stops on top of stops. like 4-5 stops occupying one space. Insane.

The other night there was Cele And Xeo raids, but everytime I tried to join a raid room on PokeRaid, they filled up instantly. So I washed my hands of them and just went after Buzz, Kat, Guz, and Jhi. 10 minutes til the cut off time. I noticed my research I had 7 encounters. It was all the ultras. I was so happy I got to collect the ones I missed out on. Nothing huge or special, just that feeling I gottem. I recently saw some of your videos and I like your personality and I'm gonna subscribe. Your a good guy, I get a good vibes off you. Keep up the vids.

If you complete a task preemptively and want to know what it was called you can check your Journal and it will tell you after you claim the reward.
The reason i rarely watch Pokemon videos is seeing events and community and then playing alone there is less and less motivation and waiting but i am a positive person

Niantic. Open the wormholes into our weekly research rewards. not everyone can do some of these raids as they live in quiet areas plus, we're getting seriously fed up with mediocre Pokemon like Starmie being the reward.

I was at the event myself, and it was pretty cool! Got myself a 98% xurxetree and traded a shiny with someone else at the event, and evolved to gigalith since I didn’t have enough candy to evolve on my own. Got myself a newspaper of the event too as a bonus!

Event must be amazing. It could also be amazing if Wayfarer add stops or gyms to already accepted P.O.I. especially in rural areas. There's not even an "EX Gym" in my area.

Due to Niantic’s issue with iOS 16, I haven’t even been able to play casually, let alone any events. I can’t even catch or spin stops without the app crashing or freezing. So annoying. 🙄

I managed to pull a hundo Kartana from the Timed Research today! Pretty happy with that.
Thanks to the special research i was able to get all the ultra beasts and im in New Zealand. All are 3 stars as well

This event even if the ultra beast isn't interesting in Go. The PR team game for Niantic has been stepping up. It really feels like a real invasion in the livestream news report portion
Glad the LA event seemed to be better than the London one. I spent an hour shivering in the queue in London and finally realising I’m not going to get in so just gave up. Very disappointing :(

I literally got All three stars on my raid and I some how pulled it off like my celasteela was a two star and I was like WHAT THE SHI-
When I was in poland they had a research task specifically for poland and I thought to myself as a caribbean person, why event and the like never aim to us
I managed to get all of the ultra beasts except for Celesteela which I’m very proud and happy for

super bummed I didnt get to go. looks so fun and the pokemon look insane, still trying to get more than 3 legendaries even though I have been playing since 2016 lol, if anyone has any tips to get better pokemon let me know

@@ReizokoRyu Just seems like the venue wasn't big enough. I tried to get to it in good time but literally everything seemed to go wrong. Trains not running.. hurt my leg.
I thought there was hope when I got in line and I didn't feel too far away but it turned out they'd actually filled the venue before 5pm (when it said doors open) and it was one in one out... I didn't know this until after 5pm when the line just was not moving... they eventually started giving codes to people in the queue on the bridge and you could join in from outside the place but they didn't give the wifi so my phone was like nope once it got near so many other people all playing. :(
I'm pretty sure the line stretched all of Waterloo Bridge by the end..
But oh well.. I got stickers and a badge in game I guess..

Buddy functionality idea:
What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the trainer were given the ability to improve the buddy’s IVs by 1? And let’s say the Km needed were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained. For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV improvement. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs.
Pros:
- This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon.
- Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex.
Cons:
- All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough
- Pvp players would need to make sure to avoid gaining hearts walking their buddy, or not apply the “bonding” IVs earned.
If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly.

Would be way too overpowered… phone rockers mean you can get any decent IV Pokémon to 100% in a week and it would make people get anything above 80% then walk it to 100% it would ruin the game completely and would make getting 100%s legitimately pointless
As tempting as this is, it would mean we only need to do one legendary raid to get a hundo (or 6 for full team). And yep, like Savxbl said - cheaters can just farm them up to hundos with rockers or apps.
@@SavXBL that’s a fair point. I never thought of rockers. What if there was a “active” requirement while walking? Such as, excluding adventure sync and steps only counted if the phone is open and game is being played.
@@duncanmeatbreak1724 also super good point. Maybe this the buddy hundo system is locked to wild caught Pokémon only? Raid and egg only exclusives stay locked behind the paywall.
@@thejacksonmurphy honestly there should be very rare items from 6 star raids that increase each stat by 1 like in the switch games so for example if you got a 98 you could try hard in raids for a specific item to make a hundo. If they did this they should be super rare and only available in 6 star in person only raids and kept at a very very rare percentage but even then I think it could be too OP

For everyone pointing out that it's not fair to have events that this for those who can travel to them you might want to consider that Niantic might do something like this in more areas. They might someday make several gyms appear in parks everywhere for a future event.
They won't. They just don't care.
Why 5 of them regional? Why don't all of 7 ultra beasts available in all region just only for 6 hours!? Niantic want to encourage players to raid remotely?
