Hi there I been watching your videos for years I got to say, it has help me understand more about EXFO how it works etc.
I wanted to ask few questions, I currently got MaxTester 730C fully loaded.
How do I install Exchange?
Can I use max700c to do update on MaxTester 730C?
Hello Kevin, I just recently came about this video to update my EXFO Max Tester-730-SM2. I followed the steps to the teeth and now that the OTDR restarted my apps are no longer coming up on the screen, seems they are deleted somehow. Anyway or do you happen to have a solution for this? Would i need to send it off to get this fixed?

Hello Kevin, I have a EXFO MAX-730C and recently the software OTDR and IOLM don't show me in the screen, I checked the optional softwares in configuration and they don´t show me any one.
I am looking for a solution in internet, and I arrived to your channel. Maybe could you help me with the installation of these softwares?
Hello. Does it turn on? Do you have the home screen.? If so than go to this site and download the update. You will need a USB stick. Make sure it is plugged in. apps.exfo.com/en/exfo-apps/?platform=MAX-700C/D&platformCategory=Handheld+Units
@@KevinPeres Thank you Kevin, I upgraded it to the last version 3.7 and the software OTDR and IOLM are worked, but when I turn off the device and on it the functions are deleted, and if I turn on it with ac adapter the sofware show me again, it is so strange. If is possible maybe I could send you a video for email?

Hello Kevin, a pleasure to say hello, my name is Maxwell and I've been following you for a while, your videos are excellent and they help me a lot in my laboratory, I repair fiber optic instruments. I wanted to ask you a question in relation to an EXFO 730C that does not appear on the display in the OTDR or IOLM applications. I updated the software (following your instructions in the video) but I don't know why no application appears in the "software options" tab... it's all blank... can you tell me what the cause would be and how I could solve it? thank you so much

ERROR COMING WHILE TESTFLOW TRACE UPLOADING

I have an exfo-630 that gets stuck on the home screen when it starts up. How to force the exfo-630 to enter Recovery? So reload the software. Thank you and I await your response.
I am not overly familiar with our copper products. Email support@EXFO.Com and they can help you
First press the home button and then the power button without releasing, a blue screen will appear with 3 options, read the instructions and select the recovery option, then the device will restart for 10 minutes and that's it, fixed

Sir nice guidelines but I am facing issue that I am unable to run OTDR function on my MAX 720 and I am also unable to connect USB with my device

Hi, how to interpret in an OTDR curve, is the last reflectance a cut, or the end of fiber? since i don't know the fiber length

@@KevinPeres it's a question outside the vidéo. How to interprète the last reflectance in an OTDR curve: does that mean a cut or the end of the fiber. Thank you
@@medalibenkhelifa1185 How the end or an OTDR trace looks will vary. If we have a flat cleave connector on the far end like a UPC you will see a nice big spike with reflection in the range of of mid teens like -14.7dB. If it is a APC connector the reflection will be much less and depending on how far out it is could be -45dB or better. A break will usually round off on the end. If you are plugged into a device that is absorbing light it will round off as well. I hope this makes sense

Hello. iOLM is part of the software but is an option you need to purchase a license.

I´m from Germany.
I use the Exfo 635 Vx2aa for cable faults.
I use the auto test, TDR and RFL.
Its really great, before that we use the Riser Bond, but EXFO is so much better.
Now my question.
I tryed to contact Exfo support but nobody answered me.
I order 2more 635x2aa but these only had DSL free,
so my question is, is it possible to update or buy this options to set TDR autoTest and RFL free on the new one?
Or is it not possible?
I did not know that the copper options are not free, but there must be a way for an update......
Would be great if u can help me please.

Does it download at all? When does the error come up ?
