I heard you can legally buy end of life cylinders to be on the right side.
Around my way are a load of the small Nitrous Oxide bottles (roughly 2litre). I often wonder how they could be re-used, perhaps linking an odd number together into one larger capacity tank.

I see loads of the tiny nitrous cans and plenty of the larger 670g size. I think they throw them out of cars as they drive. I have mentioned it in some of the street scrapping videos. They used to be mostly heavy gauge steel but recently I see a lot of aluminium ones. I posted a video of making a petrol bottle from one of the aluminium ones. They have a nice brass valve. The thread seems odd. I have been saving the valves along with plug pins. For no real reason. Just hoarding I guess. As for buying old cylinders. There are so many discarded that it seems crazy to buy. But I understand why someone might. I saw a diy shop in Germany selling euro pallets used for é 25 and steel 205litre drums used for é 99. For projects. There is a market for everything.

Please what if I replace the Valve with a new one without filling in the cylinder with water what will happen?

replacing the valve is a job for the person who supplies the gas, they can pressure test it

Any idea what the tread size is going into the bottle? I cant find the size for the life of me. It definitely isn't BSP 1/2 or 3/5. Thank you
