It's gonna be tough out there

Another factory shut down, leaving us with no work around.
barely scraping by on welfare, living in a run-down trailer,
gotta find a way to make ends meet, can't keep watching my kids go without to eat,
looks like it's time to hit the road, leave this dead-end town behind.
I'm heading out to find a better life,
gotta leave my home and my kids and my wife,
gonna head out west, try to find some work,
pray I can send back money, so they don't have to hurt.
Told my wife it's for the best, gotta do what I gotta do,
packed up the old truck with what little we got, said goodbye through tears in my eyes,
told the kids I'll be back soon, as soon as I can find a job and send money home,
