Lon Chaney Jr, and his mummy movie's, are very entertaining. His mummy is so violently repulsive, a murderous monster, with no mercy for his victims, as he strangles to death his unfortunate victim's, that happen to come across his path.
The Mummy had the classiest henchmen/caretakers. Turhan Bey makes Renfield and Igor seem like crude amateurs. May the blessings of Amon Ray abound you, effendi !
Setting this movie thirty years into the future from the last is not a very good idea, that would mean the film is supposed to be occurring in the 1970'!
The four mummy movies following the original (1932) were far better than the Karloff movie. More action and drama to them. The original i always thought the original flick was rather boring.
i disagree. the karloff movie came out while "talkies" were in their infancy. the basic story was good; the old style acting let it down. i keep hoping someone will remake it with better acting and cinematography. that story had a soul. unfortunately these days a remake is usually overburdened with political correctness and what i call "chic decadence" and cynicism, so i'll just bide with my memories.

Like the old saying goes: If you can't out run The Mummy then you deserve to die!
