The bottlenecks didn't disappear, they just got shifted to gold now. I have enough materials to build like 5 more full teams than I can afford. That's not to even mention character release cadence, which is impossible to keep up with.
Yeah its great... now i can hoard even more gear i wont be able to use for the next few months... which also makes boosted accounts even more op now because they can gear up way faster. But this update at least gives me hope that they will be done with this testing soon and regular accounts get level ups faster too.
i'm still having issues with gold, DD6 is next for me but my god the amount of gold i need is ridiculous. so yeah the extra teals are nice but damn it's so much gold.
There's not much context in this comment, this would vary per gear tier. Obviously the value is higher at the lower tiers. But, compared to what it was before it is significant.

We are in a much better position gold wise than a year or two ago. Resource management is just really key longer term
When are they going to increase t4s to raids and challenges
T4s likely will stay similar for a while because they don't plan to ever go to t5s
They didnt change the Red orbs until later in the day. My raids end at 1145am EST and I got the tier rewards
Can u do the difference in gear as an average by buying vs not. How much more gear are u getting by paying out the nose for it.

They did change teal. Something like doubled them.
