I've just started to experiment with helicopters and literally run into a brick wall.... Your presentations has helped greatly.... Thank you so much... Roger.... Pembrokeshire
One thing Ive never seen in any RUclips video was, under the model of Helicopter you have liveries AND note this: Customization! I moved them over and instantly settled down my bucking bronco MD500E helicopter! Just have to tweak it some...made all the difference in the world!
Thanks for the video. The one thing no one talks about is the collective. I’m on Xbox SX with a Velocity 1 stick. I’m using the left throttle as the collective and the window between too much and not enough is narrow. I would like to know how to adjust the sensitivity so that it’s more gradual and more precise. Anyone……no pressure.
I agree with everything you said in the video but we can go further. It seems to me that the more experienced rotorcraft developers already insert a curve into their responses to cyclic movement becaause if you fly the CowanSim 500 you can fly much further before holding the stick forward gives you a sore hand. The Westland Wasp/Scout on the otherhand the cyclic needs to be pushed nearly all the way forward all the time leading to hand cramps e.t.c. It was Inibuilds first foray into rotorcraft and I suspect they were unaware of this issue, this takes nothing away from a great craft. Okay okay I know you are meant to use the trim feature to recenter your stick and it works very well. A lot of people believe this alters the aerodynamics of the rotorcraft but it does not, all it is, is a re-centering of the stick when it is at high deflection to reduce the pressure on your hand. I too have a VKB gunfighter and 300mm extension mounted between my legs and this gives a great resting place to enable small inputs and take the pressure off your hand while flying. Anyway keep up the great videos please mate👍👍👍
Honestly in Microsoft flight simulator. You should learn how to adjust your rates and expo for all aircraft including helicopters it makes the sim so much more relaxing and precise.

Just what I was looking for, thanks a lot!
Finally, Mr Gatcomb gives up his setting secrets after all these years... 😂👍
Great video!
