What I think would be important to mention is ... Underage driving licence holders are not allowed to drive in Germany with their US driving licence, or must apply for a German driving licence to be converted. For minors, this means participation in the so-called "accompanied driving from 17". This also applies to driving licence holders who have not yet reached the age of 18 and are only temporarily staying in Germany as tourists.
@@Kelsea-2002 super interesting! I never even thought about those who may want to come at a very young age and drive (I would have been terrified at that age to drive outside of the country - even just across the border in the states terrified me 😂)
The priority rules in Germany are a bit tricky, but clear. Right before left if there is no sign indicating otherwise. And if you overtake a two-wheeler: 1.5 m distance in town, 2 m out of town. And pedestrians have priority at crosswalks, unless the light is red.

Let me just add that "driving too slow on the Autobahn" not only is dangerous, but driving under 60km/h is forbidden. And according to that one is not allowed to enter the Autobahn with any vehicle unable to drive at least 60km/h!
"Driving [at less than] 60 km/h is forbidden" is simply wrong! If traffic requires you are of course allowed to go slower than 60 km/h. There is no minimum speed on the Autobahn. But, as you correctly said, your vehicle's model is required to run at least 60 km/h to legally enter the Autobahn. So a Traktor, Moped or bicycle must not enter the Autobahn, every regular car is usually allowed to do so. Yes, you can be sued for blocking traffic without any reason, but driving at less than 60 km/h is not generally illegal.
One correction, it is allowed to turn right at red as long a green arrow is present. Very dubious advice regarding the IDP. For one.. the company being shilled here may not actually be valid. In Canada: "Only CAA is authorized to issue IDPs in Canada, under a UN-approved mandate. Any non-CAA issued IDP is fake and will not be accepted by a foreign country." And even if valid.. the cost of one of these is $31CAD at the CAA. This website is charging MORE THAN DOUBLE the actual cost. Caveat emptor!
