That is a great way to do covers for worry-free cracking of paper covering the spine! I think I will be doing my album covers this way from now on. And, the covers are laying down nicely where you don't really need to add a closure to keep the cover from popping up. Love it!
Hi Jen you are awesome. I love the fact you leave the boo boo's in the video. I think I told you about the heat gun trick , once you were trying to remove a sticker from something . I always use my heat gun for that. I'm glad it worked for you . Hugz n Smilz
Hi Jennifer! I'm loving the paper dream videos! Can't wait to make my own. Your an adorable lady! Thank you for sharing! Please keep the videos coming!!
Another gr8 video Jennifer. ...aWeSoMe!!!...I have a habit of writing my thoughts n nyc little quotes I come around in a diary since childhood...U have given me the inspiration to start an Art journal...I have done a few pages. ..I hope of improving all the techniques in coming days...Keep teaching us..U r a fantastic teacher ....All d best..!!! :)
Dear JenniferI think version no.1 is the best version. Regarding the piece of paper that goes over the spine, I line that piece with Tyvek to reinforce the paper and the spine. I just love your videos, they are easy to follow. Thanks for sharing.Jennifer (From London, England)
You make it look so easy!!! I've seen a few videos on making mini's and for a beginner,it's a bit complicated....I'm gonna use this way to make my covers!!!!! Love it!!
OmGosh Jennifer, This is the first time I have watched this video and you were hilarious. I love it. I will have to try the heat trick someday. I make a bunch of mistakes. LOL Love it
Girl... You are amazing... Well I wasn't the one who told you about the heat gun trick... but I got another one for you... To remove any sticky parts left on the paper after that removal... use a white eraser... Don't be heavy on that... but it will work... and it will be easier to help with your hands afterwards.... Have fun!!!!
Awesomeness!!! Just did a spine. My first chipboard mini album and I used this spine. Love it!!! Time for bed. Ending at 31.36. I don’t know if you show how to do Kathy Kings hidden hinge but I already have it here ready. That was my accomplishment yesterday. Earned myself a big glass of moscato with that one...lol. Yay!!! Hugs 🤗
Chuckles...Glad ya liked the heat gun trick. I learned it from following another gal and she always had her measurements off and I got tired of wasting tape and paper.
Btw, it doesn't leave stickiness when I do it. My guess is maybe too much heat, which melted the tape onto your paper. I just heat the whole surface of the tape for about 5 seconds and then try to pull the tape gently, while still warm (but without heating it at the same time!) I pull until I get resistance (at some point, it might loose the warmth) and then heat again and pull the rest. I hope that makes sense... lol
This is my favorite of your videos. LOVE how you fix your mistakes and I learned about the heat gun trick. Love version 1 as my album cover is too big for 12x12 so it will work perfectly for my album. Keep your awesome tutorials coming. 😊💗
I am pretty new to papercrafting and was wondering if your 12 x 12 paper pad is the kinda stiffer designer cardstock paper or just the regular thinner paper. Does that make sense? i have noticed a difference in the paper pads i have bought. I bought your templates and am looking forward to making them. Thanks.
I just saw your quesrion and I know its been a while but Jen uses tape from the tapedepot.com and then "de-sticks" it by sticking it to your skin. Hope this helps!!

you are too funny!! love how " down to 🌎 earth you are. I really like the way you did this cover. It looks so neat and seems to resolve the cracking issues on the spine. Looks really good, can't wait for the next eppisode. btw: the black and teal "together" album you show, will you be selling it? I just love it.
I dont mean to be arrogant but that heat trick is a no brainer thats why you tip hot water on you windsceen right coz of the heat and that score tape sticks like elephant snot lol

Hi Jen, a newbie here. What is the problem with spines cracking? I hadn't heard of that.
Your video is so easy to follow, thank you.

yah!
An easier way to get rid of double-sided tape is to remove the backing and roll the tape off. No sticky residue.
love love love
You make me giggle.
