We know you don’t have to show off.... or brag... 😆 You work hard for everything you have. I actually see it as motivation. 😌🤷🏽♀️ You are just giving your subscribers what they want! I know when my fiancé and I were talking about rings and getting engaged he was trying to buy a 20,000 ring. I saw your previous video about your ring last year, and I told him to get a moissanite instead of a diamond! So you helped us out! ❤️ At the end of the day... you cannot satisfy everyone. If they don’t like it... they have a choice not to watch it.
I love this deep jewel tone on you! And, I'm echoing most of the other comments here but like I said in a DM to you, FLAUNT THAT RING! You two worked (financially, emotionally, in your relationship for one another and in your individual lives as separate people) H A R D to get to where you are today. My (now) husband didn't even come with me when I chose my ring... I literally just went to the store and bought it (within out budget) because he got tired of coming with me because I'm too picky 😅😅 my mom got upset when she found out... I never understood why, I wanted what I wanted!! 😅
My fiancee and I went and picked out my ring and I'm glad! We thought we were on the same page on the style but when we put it on my hand we were like yeah no. But once we found the one, it was a magical experience together!
I think it's actually just a matter of preference. Some people literally don't care about jewelry and the wedding/engagement ring is only about the symbology- not a fashion statement. Others like to upgrade the way you did, which is what I did, although I didn't get a bigger center stone. I had a three stone ring and I just had the stones reset in another setting with a pave halo. For a lot of people they like to upgrade because it is first a symbol of your love, but also symbolic of your accomplishments and the life you have built with your spouse. For a while, the anniversary band was popular. People would keep their wedding band and engagement ring, but add a diamond pave band to symbolize a significant wedding anniversary. I think it's whatever people want to do.
Never be ashamed!!!! A ring is a ring. It symbolizes love and a reminder that you made it.. no matter what my partner gets me I’ll be so happy.. gorgeous ring!
My mom got a new engagement ring for 25 years and a new wedding band at 30 years. (Partly because her fingers got a little bigger as she got older and her wedding band didn’t fit anymore) She had her original engagement ring turned into a beautiful right-hand ring, and I think that was a great way to preserve it. Her ring had a center stone and ten diamonds around it (added on their 10th anniversary) in a rectangular shape, and the jeweler put it in a beautiful shape of a circle, and it kind of looks like a flower. She plans to hand it off to my brother if he wants to get engaged, and if he wants to keep it the way it is that’s fine but she’s okay if he wants to change it. Just wanted to share that little story because it’s such a wonderful thing to be able to upgrade your rings but keep the originals for sentimental reasons.
Wedding rings are a huge deal (for me at least). It represents a love & you my dear deserve to wear what you love. These rings are all gorgeous! I personally love the princess cut and is the one my husband updated our ring after 10 years of marriage. Thank you for sharing! ☺️
I don't understand why it'd be a problem. It's one of your passions and you've worked for it. You never took it from someone else and all you have has been earned. I love your channel and I'm not even a doctor nor in any health-related profession.
I got a moissanite ring when my husband and I got engaged 19 years ago. No one had really ever heard of it, but our jeweler recommended it and I still love it. We always intended to replace it with a diamond later on but I never really thought it necessary. Maybe at 20 years hubby will surprise me! All your sets are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
The Internet can be an evil place but there are people who are just happy for others. It's beautiful thanks for making this video your planner video I couldn't stop looking at it! Congratulations it looks stunning on you 😍😍
I love that you talked about moissanite! I have a moissanite and sadly so many people think they are a fake ring or have this idea that it's for people who cannot afford diamonds when in reality a lot of people like myself own both, they each have their own pros and cons! Even for people who choose moissanite purely for the cost-benefit because they can't afford a diamond, it is still a gorgeous stone and in no way anything to be ashamed of! Also, I don't know too much about this but I have heard moissanite in the smaller stones does not hold up as well, perhaps that's why your moissanite eternity band didn't hold up as well, my jeweler recommended using diamonds for side stones, eternity bands or any stones below a carat instead of moissanite.
@@Hannah-pz5wp I mean its a different stone so no not a fake diamond lol. But in terms of do people use it in place of a diamond because it’s affordable absolutely! Some use it and say it is a diamond as well which is why I understand your comment, it can for sure be classified as diamond passing! My comment was just highlighting that there are also people who appreciate the stone and also own diamonds and can afford them but still purchase moissanite for pieces. I think white sapphire is a beautiful stone, could it pass for a low quality diamond? Sure. Doesn’t diminish its value or beauty as a stone.
@@Hannah-pz5wp No. It's not. It's a different stone completely. A lab created diamond generally costs less than a comparable moissanite. I prefer moissanite to diamonds because of the rainbow refraction and sparkle. Diamonds are comparatively lackluster. Plus, a natural moissanite is rare, a diamond is not. That's a myth perpetuated by the diamond industry. Moissanite is also conflict free, and it comes from space. Was found in a meteor. As someone heavily into astrophysics, this makes it way more special. It is like wearing a little piece of space. You can prefer diamonds, but down downgrade a moissanite to a fake diamond. A Cubic Zirconia is a fake diamond.
You inspired me to go get the engagement ring I dreamt of! I was scared it was "too big" I ended up getting a little under 4.5ct radiant cut center stone! With two emerald cuts on each side. I'm so happy ahhh!! Thank you for showing me that big rings can be classy and not gaudy
It was an absolute pleasure hearing you discuss rings, and stones! I think the fact that you were able to do this for yourself is also very empowering. ❤️
I had two bands on either side of my solitaire that were all soldered. When I upgraded the solitaire, I felt the same as you, the other band took away from the beauty of the solitaire. So it was removed. Now I wear that band separately on a different hand. All of your rings are gorgeous!
I’m SO GLAD you made this video! I will be married for 10 years soon and want to upgrade my ring. This gave me such wonderful ideas! I don’t find it bragging at all. You and HB work very hard. You go girl.
Love it! Everyone’s ring stories are so unique! Mine came from a pawn shop. I was 19 and we were living paycheck to paycheck. I wanted a ring and I didn’t feel weird about bad ju ju. I feel like at one point the person before me loved what that ring meant. My center stone has been upgraded now that we are financially able to. We have been married 10 years with many more to go! Celebrate your love and accomplishments however you see fit!
"...Could be sumpin else" 🤣 This was incredibly informative!! I've been discussing upgrading my set and essentially want a replica of my existing rings but bigger and higher quality! Well deserved, Doc!!!! 😍
I'm 43 and feel you should own it, you and Mr B worked your behinds off (annnd still do!) to be able to afford your life. The beautiful thing about all if our lives is they include what we as individuals like and enjoy to have and hold. I love cheap airport plastic snow gloves and expensive simple fine leather totes. I work hard and know people who can afford nicer and lower end. All price points have great stuffs. I love living vicariously on your channel and feel proud of you for being a good example of a woman who slays it. If anything your success shows folks ... that hard work can pay off if your are money savvy
Love grows and evolves just like a person/couple/family, why can't your jewelry? You worked hard for your money you can spend it on whatever you want without any apologies!
I am so glad you did this video!!! Dont fear anyone! Your life, your business...i love your taste and learning about your items helps us to make decisions. I also enjoy your love for Moissanite, i have several pieces as well as diamonds, and enjoy BOTH...well done and many thanks!
Your rings are gorgeous! My husband didn’t propose with a ring, so I got to pick exactly what I wanted later. I knew when I got married again that I wanted something different - so I went with rose gold with a morganite center stone and set with a single row of pave diamonds. My wedding bands (also two cause this girl is extra) alternates diamonds and morganite stones. I love Love LOVE my set. I have banged my ring and I knocked out a halo stone but never damaged the center stone. Never worry about what others thing- you rock the ROCK that speaks to you.
Never worry about us judging you!! You and HB have earned everything you have!! Next, since I love jewelry and watches, would you mind doing your watch collection? Just got my dream engagement ring for my 60 birthday. Your rings are stunning!!
You’re right about thinking long and hard about trading in your original diamond 💍 I regret trading mine in. Feelings change over the years. I didn’t care then but I do now .
It would be so nice for each of your daughters to get the wedding band and eternity ring from your other set. That way they have to same ring each from your old wedding set.
I love that you carry and I’m trying to get my wife comfortable about the idea. Definitely with the intent that your life is more important that any item, especially when its insured.
Can you do a review and recommendation for your rolexes? There are not too many reviews online from female and the technical side of things. I can only find the fashion lover or a male who collects watches...no in between!
I have a (2ct) oval moissanite engagement ring set in a cage setting in sterling silver. With a plain 2mm plain sterling silver band. Very minimalist but perfect for me. I got them both on Amazon. Under $100 bucks
As a woman in my early thirties who has always worked hard and also loves fine jewelry, I totally agree with all the other comments here about not apologizing or having to explain how you choose to spend your hard-earned money. I might also be biased, but fine jewelry can also be one of the best investments, when done right. I'm wearing many hats, but one includes working for a diamond services company. I wanted to share some quick tidbits/helpful hints for anyone here that's engagement ring/upgrade shopping like you suggested: first, I agree that your eternity band was poorly executed, but it's probably not because it's 14k. 14k is the 2nd hardest wearing of the 3 most common fine/high jewelry metals; platinum is the hardest and 18k is the softest. I wear a 4ct diamond eternity band in 18k white gold every day, and have had no warping, loose stones...etc. If anyone commissions a similar piece, make sure there's enough metal there to support all those stones! Second, elongated fancy cuts (marquise, pears, movals..etc) tend to look (or "face up") larger than round brilliants, princess, or Asscher cuts; they also tend to look whiter and hide inclusions better, all other things being equal. Love that you also highlighted the importance of having a good protection plan from your jeweler - there's peace of mind knowing future cleaning and repairs are covered. Everything was beautiful and happy hunting to everyone shopping! 💍🙂🛍
I love rings and have more than one I wear as a wedding set. Loved this video. One of my rings is moissanite, one is my original diamond ring set, one is my diamond anniversary ring, and I have cz rings, too.
Girl, you earned it and you worked for it! Loveeee that you share every aspect of your life♥️ ps. My husband is in the market for a Tesla and came across your video when you got yours wrapped, and he’s like babe look at her car-I’m like ohh, that’s Kristina ♥️!!
While I'm not in the market for a new ring (maybe at ten years!) I learned so much. You said you were worried about making this, but I think it turned out great! xo
DAYYYYYYYMN Dr. B! With ALL due respect ma’am that ring is STUNNING 😍 and you SHOULD be more happy to “flex”(although I don’t see you being a flexer lol) and show it off. I’m sure if I walked by you IRL I’d definitely have to admire its beauty. You’ve worked hard to be where you are in life and how you decide to spend your money is no ones business. Literally NO ONE but your own. You support and give back more than most others on YT and I love how willing you are to be transparent. Thanks for another great video, I had no idea round diamonds were more expensive! 🖤
I love a lot of your videos, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that this is one of my FAVOURITES!! Thank you for sharing your ring journey and information, thank you for opening up about different stones, and thank you for being vulnerable. I hope all you get in this video is positive feedback, because I truly wish more people talked about this!! Fantastic and very informative!!
I just watched all of this and I’m not even in the market for a ring. 😆 You always make things easy to understand and I’m genuinely happy for you so I tuned in. 💛
I've been nursing an awful toothache over the complete holiday weekend, so this video totally cheered me up because I'm a huge magpie (got it from grandma). Loved learning more about the process, too. That stone is gorgeous and both rings are so unique. I'm from a country where people don't typically give engagement rings, and if they do, they are usually either tiny or no real diamonds because our men don't want to shell out the massive cash. Maybe I need to find myself a cute American haha.
I always enjoy jewelry videos, and always like to hear how a persons tasted change and what you have learned on this journey. Thank you for posting all of this information ❤
My two favorite diamond cuts: Radiant and Oval. For me, the Radiant is the most beautiful cut. With 70 facets, it’s has the most facets of the traditional fancy cut diamonds. It’s stunning, esp in a Plat setting !! I also like Lauren B Jewlers craftsmanship! I don’t think Moisanite faceting looks exactly like a diamond’s faceting ; one can tell the difference after looking at quite a few diamonds and Moissanite in most cuts, but that stone can have more fire. Enjoy your beautiful rings! Your oval, colorless diamond is beautiful!! 💍
You should keep buying jewelry and do more of these videos! Tell HB it’s for work ;) Also I recently bought a 4.7 oval moissanite ring from East West Gem Co and I LOVE IT! so affordable and it looks amazing. Would love a diamond but out of my budget~
i love rings- yours is gorgeous! i just got a new wedding set for 20 years and it’s so fun to upgrade and just enjoy something new:) Enjoy your beautiful set!
I say brag away! You both work hard and live a life that dreams are made of for most people. I love watching your videos. Your ring is perfection. I love it!
Your ring is stunning! I am so happy you chose to address it because I was so curious! Don’t blame you for keeping prices private. Thank you for the spectacular information.
Just came across your channel with this video. Your ring is stunning! I’m 26 and just got engaged with a stunning 2.5 radiant ring. I also adore all things jewelry and diamonds so I can really appreciate that stunner on your finger 😍 Also love your personality, you seem very down to earth. Definitely subscribing to your channel.
I went with my hubby and helped pick out my ring. I’m super picky about what I like lol. His budget was far more than I ever expected or wanted. He spent about 12k on my engagement ring and another 3k on my wedding band. I love my rings, so much! Your rings are beautiful. I want a moissanite ring now lol.
Aaahh I remember the day you told me about Tacori rings back in our college days and basically started my journey on looking at rings too ❤️ congrats on your 10 year with such a gorgeous ring !! Learned so much from this video 🥰
You just started talking about the possible backlash... F' Em! You and HB went to medical school, you have multiple side hustles while raising 2 children... You buy what you want! Thank you for sharing, always. 😁
The reason the moissanite gems keep falling out of your band is because they're a baguette/emtald cut. typically gems up in a baguett/emerald style have a harder time staying put in the prongs of the setting especially when they're in an eternity band. It's such a shame that eternity bands are so beautiful because regardless of cut they're almost always problematic and end up losing a gem or two throughout the lifetime of the ring. As for the hardness of the metal I'd 100% recommend going platinum if you do end up going to a diamond setting for the eternity ring. I'd also highly recommend you check out lab created diamonds!
Also I have my nanas ring that mom used for her engagement ring. It’s so antique looking but it’s too small for me to wear. But that’s also something you can do with the ring for your daughters. If they decide to get married. And they person actually asks yal first.
Stunning, I must say I had the same idea about east/west but read reviews that they have quality issues so opted out and just wear a band when I want to travel. The bow tie issue is not one that Jewlers like to talk about, I found out about Bow ties when shopping for my pear Diamond which also has bow tie.
I watched this vid right when you uploaded and I had never heard of Rare Carat until you mentioned it. Almost a year of checking everyday for my perfect stone, I finally found my beautiful diamond on V-day!! I’m so glad I watched your vid and listened to you carefully bc it helped me a lot. I went with a round 4.54ct hearts & arrow cut. Thanks!
Girl! I have tiny little fingers, too! 4.5 to 4.75... The struggle is real for costume rings. 🤣. My Mom had her original engagement and wedding rings melted and the diamond mounted as a graduation gift. It meant so much, but even more now that she passed.
I chose a Moissanite for my ‘diamonds’, lg middle stone and 2 smaller stones on each size. I absolutely love it. It is ALWAYS glittery. What sold me was that Moissante is an ‘outer space’ stone. I like the weird! I had a friend comment once ‘what do you do, polish that thing every day?!’ snarky comment. She’s not such a good friend now. 🙄
Love this! Instantly knew this had to be a Lauren B creation😍 I’ve been following them for years and absolutely love their rings and their knowledge. I got engaged this past November and got my very own Lauren B double halo cushion cut - My setting is almost identical to yours and I’m obsessed! Your ring is absolutely gorgeous🤩
I love you for posting this video! I always wished you would cause you have my exact taste (down to the thinness of the band). Don’t feel like it’s bragging at all! It’s motivation!!
I have a bunch of different rings! I have my original set and then over the years I’ve gotten some bigger CZ and morganite rings, and then I’ll go back to my smaller 1 carat original diamond. Anyways I love jewelry and all videos about jewelry!
This is insane! My engagement ring was 1K from Etsy purchased without my knowledge so a design that was appealing to my husband and wedding band I purchased from Etsy for $35. And also we got married the day before the big Texas winter storm at a park for $100 lol

Also, I don't know too much about this but I have heard moissanite in the smaller stones does not hold up as well, perhaps that's why your moissanite eternity band didn't hold up as well, my jeweler recommended using diamonds for side stones, eternity bands or any stones below a carat instead of moissanite.
As a jeweller, I loved this video. You are so right in terms of the 14ct. If you are are going for gold go 9ct. Otherwise Platinum. 💎
Moissanite IS a fake diamond 😂
@@Hannah-pz5wp moissanite is moissanite. It’s only fake if you tell people that it is diamond.
I know you’re busy but can you just go ahead and add a jewelry line to the mix?? 😂😂 I would love some dainty diamond pieces.
😂🤣😂🤣
You inspired me to go get the engagement ring I dreamt of! I was scared it was "too big"
I ended up getting a little under 4.5ct radiant cut center stone! With two emerald cuts on each side.
I'm so happy ahhh!! Thank you for showing me that big rings can be classy and not gaudy
It was an absolute pleasure hearing you discuss rings, and stones! I think the fact that you were able to do this for yourself is also very empowering. ❤️
This is the video I’ve been waiting for. That ring is stunning!!! I’m so happy such a dream inspiration piece exists!
Glad I'm not the only who has more than one wedding set 🙈 I've got 4! 😅
You work hard for your money; never be ashamed of what you buy yourself.
I love hearing you talk about your jewelry! It's all beautiful! Don't be embarrassed to talk about it!
My absolute dream ring! My fiancé and I are both med students and look up to you and HB! We always say we want to be the Bralys when we grow up😂
I had two bands on either side of my solitaire that were all soldered.
Congratulations! My eyes were darting back and forth between the ring and the Rolex.
As long as you love it, no comment should make you or your hubby feel bad.
It's beautiful ❤️
"...Could be sumpin else" 🤣
This was incredibly informative!!
Girl you and your hubs worked hard to get to where you’re at! Show off, brag, enjoy the things you buy... I’ll just live vicariously though you!!
Maybe in my next life I'll be as together as she is ..😂 Gorgeous, as brilliant as her ring, incredibly accomplished.
My dream ring! So beautiful 😍
Aww thank you Toni! 🥰
I’m so stinkin’ excited for this and it’s 45 FREAKIN’ MINUTES 😍
I used to work at Tiffany & Co before I became a nurse and LOVED looking at all the stuff (plus the employee discount 😉)
Hello Denise 🤔🥰
Girl, you earned it and you worked for it! Loveeee that you share every aspect of your life♥️ ps. My husband is in the market for a Tesla and came across your video when you got yours wrapped, and he’s like babe look at her car-I’m like ohh, that’s Kristina ♥️!!
That ring is almost as stunning as your smile! Love your videos, thanks for sharing the information!
You would be the best jeweler! Your attention to detail is phenomenal. Thank you for doing this video. Your oval ring is gorgeous 😍
Girl! People who hate will HATE! THEY ARE JEALOUS! ❤❤Enjoy your bling and where it with pride!
Gorgeous! Thank you for taking the time to share with all of us. You certainly have an eye for beautiful jewelry 😍
I just watched all of this and I’m not even in the market for a ring. 😆 You always make things easy to understand and I’m genuinely happy for you so I tuned in. 💛
This ring is PERFECTION. And listening to you talk about your rings for 45 minutes was salve for my soul. Thank you.
Tell HB it’s for work ;)
Also I recently bought a 4.7 oval moissanite ring from East West Gem Co and I LOVE IT! so affordable and it looks amazing. Would love a diamond but out of my budget~
i love rings- yours is gorgeous! i just got a new wedding set for 20 years and it’s so fun to upgrade and just enjoy something new:) Enjoy your beautiful set!
I have a ring just like yours. Mine is a 2 carat center stone. I get attention from mine, I can’t imagine how much yours gets. 😀
"I'm not gonna say what kinds...but I live in Texas" 😅
I say brag away! You both work hard and live a life that dreams are made of for most people. I love watching your videos. Your ring is perfection. I love it!
Your ring is stunning! I am so happy you chose to address it because I was so curious! Don’t blame you for keeping prices private. Thank you for the spectacular information.
Just came across your channel with this video. Your ring is stunning! I’m 26 and just got engaged with a stunning 2.5 radiant ring. I also adore all things jewelry and diamonds so I can really appreciate that stunner on your finger 😍
Also love your personality, you seem very down to earth.
Thanks for that info Audrey I found it super helpful!!
Also I have my nanas ring that mom used for her engagement ring. It’s so antique looking but it’s too small for me to wear. But that’s also something you can do with the ring for your daughters. If they decide to get married. And they person actually asks yal first.
I’m so glad you made this video. The rings are stunning 💜
Stunning, I must say I had the same idea about east/west but read reviews that they have quality issues so opted out and just wear a band when I want to travel. The bow tie issue is not one that Jewlers like to talk about, I found out about Bow ties when shopping for my pear Diamond which also has bow tie.
This video is so inspiring for us young professionals out here, what a dream!! Your taste is impeccable
Thanks!
Wow I didn’t think I was gonna as interested in this video as I was lol. Great video, love how detailed you went! ✨
I agree and I also feel like your ring should reflect not only the symbol of marriage but your personality and style
Girl! I have tiny little fingers, too! 4.5 to 4.75... The struggle is real for costume rings. 🤣. My Mom had her original engagement and wedding rings melted and the diamond mounted as a graduation gift. It meant so much, but even more now that she passed.
Oh my gosh . That will be something to treasure forever. And your Mamma will always be with you .
It's dazzling! Maybe I don't have a sense of the size of your hands, but I thought it was much bigger than 4ct! Beautifully set.
My dad makes jewelry. It’s so fun to get to design and see you dreams come to life.
Gorgeous!! You never brag...you’re so informative and such a gem for always sharing!
I LOVE both of your rings. I’m a big jewelry lover so I love to hear about others jewelry 😍🥰
I’m so glad you did this video. When I first found your channel I was in awe of your jewelry!!! Your rings are stunning 💍💍💍
You introduced me to moissanites! I have four moissanite rings now...and now I want another! ❤🧡💛
This is insane! My engagement ring was 1K from Etsy purchased without my knowledge so a design that was appealing to my husband and wedding band I purchased from Etsy for $35. And also we got married the day before the big Texas winter storm at a park for $100 lol
