They nerfed Action of action it’s trash now, the bubbles HP weak it can be destroyed within 1-2 seconds on nightfall (legend) against Ogres and other powerful enemies. Against weak enemies 2400 HP is okay, or on Hero Difficulty. The old bubble could withstand direct fire from an Orge and not get destroyed for its entire 15 sec duration, while the new bubble gets melted fast on legend and above when facing powerful enemies, like current Nightfall. So Bungie did the OPPOSITE of what they intended they said they wanted it to be more useful for end game content - well no it’s now infinitely WORSE the old bubble can survive almost any amount of damage on Legend and GM, while new bubble can be destroyed very very fast (instantly often) if multiple strong enemies are shooting it. Bungie please give it back the original 8000 HP and just make the damage buff to weapons smaller, like 2.5% or something.
ruclips.net/video/K1q0aDjjn4U/видео.htmlsi=dR9JNKsG7Iw7C5-3 video showing it (the second bubble) being destroyed in approx 1.5 seconds on LEGEND! I did the exact same nightfall, in exact same spot against Ogres, before the HP nerf and it would survive the entire 15 seconds without being destroyed. This makes zero sense. My favorite build ruined my Bungie. Probably better off using the Vexcaliber what a joke 🤬 I have multiple videos all showing this. In things like Dungeons the mini bubble can now be destroyed in ONE SINGLE HIT! WTF Bungie!
The exotic glaives feel much better to use in PvE, especially the healing turret one I unironically think it's the perfect tool against the bad health modifiers like Attrition, Drifting Apart, etc etc
its still a waste of an exotic slot. The glaive shoehorn bungie is currently slamming into our asses right now is completely useless. I guess they felt bad that they kept wasting time making new glaives and forgot to look and see that no one fucking uses them because they are a completely useless weapon type.
The 4 burst mode also 2 bursts anti Barrier bubbles in master nightfalls, which I’m imagining will translate over to GMS aswell, which is nice because as much as I like wishender, the ability to just immediately start shooting barrier shields instead of having to draw first will be nice, I’m looking forward to testing it out on the 19th when GMs start
8:36 patchnotes state "reduced direct hit damage *of the round* that generates the lightning bolt". The tests in the video show damage of the bolt, not the round. This why there is no difference.
Correct, what they did is remove the damage the bolt that hits a target does to about 2% of the normal amount (400ish versus Carl). So essentially if you directly shoot the tanky boss, you will get 1 of 3 glaive charge back, but you do not get the damage from the direct bolt hit. Normally I'd say it's worth the trade but the way I use this glaive is always shooting the ground. Too many times my 'special' bolt misses and the entire special shot is wasted.
Used Osteo, significant difference, got thorn catalyst to drop, went to shuro chi and deposited Osteo in orbit. I love that vault from orbit feature, quicker disposal method. Like having a trash can next to you at all times. RIP OSTEO
The reason why glaive damage in PVE wasn't exactly 25% across the different archetypes was because of the PVP nerf to projectile damage. Whenever damage is affected in PVP, it does translate to PVE. So yes the glaive projectiles got a 25% buff in PVE, but a slight nerf because of PVP. So glaives aren't exactly doing 25% more than before the season, they are doing 25% more after the PVP damage nerf
Yay Revision Zero buff! Admittedly... I haven't used it in a long time... But it was my first craftable Exotic weapon and was the weapon I got from my first ever Battle Pass Season (since I only joined around the tail end of S18) so it has a special place in my heart tbh.
It did not do crazy amounts of damage. I specifically did a lot of testing with this prior to the patch going live. In my testing, what changed is that you lost almost 100% of the impact damage from the glaive bolt. So the it's like instead of hitting for 30k + the exotic perk, it hit for 300 + the exotic perk + 6000ish from a jolt proc, but still returned 1 of 3 charges.
I would love to see a creator dungeon/raid stream with all of the mainstream D2 creators like Cross, Kackis, Byf etc that would be pretty interesting. If they can manage to pull it off add some former D2 devs to it as well
I used the Titan exotic glaive in The Coil with Strand as my subclass and I’ll be honest, it was fun as hell. Being able to pop an overshield whenever we needed was awesome, ease of use skyrocketed. Half the time I was like Oh shit the shield is full already, bank it, stow it. Almost die and panic fire the overshield. Good times. 🤣
@@hithere5553 For me, that's exactly the difference. It's more reliable, and you get the shield within like 110 seconds or so even if you just stab things not shoot them.
I think if Bungie gave Ruinous Effigy's Transmutation Spheres the ability to count as melees like glaives, it'd help that weapon see some actual use. I'd say it should only count for effects that can work with uncharged melees, but that in itself should be enough to make it better. I've not tested many things, so I don't actually know what all it does or doesn't stack with. I'm about to test out the Wormgod Caress with it, hopefully it'll give good results It did not give good results. I died...a lot.
They count as void weapon kills. So if you want a fun build to use with it, use Verity's Brow and spam nades. It's very satisfying, especially since you can suppress your target prior to tossing a nade. Also, this is like one of the few times in this game where you can hold an orb, charge and throw a nade, and not lose the orb.
The transmutation spheres suppress targets it doesn't outright kill I believe. Basically it is good for when you need to suppress champs, mini-bosses, or lucent hive supers & don't want to run tractor cannon or a void subclass.
I still don't get the point of sniper rifles when you have things like Vex or Revision zero, which will (as far as I can tell), deal similar if not better damage against targets while also having practically infinite ammo for their "special" mode. 15% is a great boost, but I don't know if it makes a big enough difference for 99% of the special snipers.

Melee builds, especially at higher levels is a very volatile style of play and I think that definitely evens things out.
The thing that holds vex back compared to Revision zero is Vex requires kills to get its linear shots, which means it wont have a ton of uptime in things like GMs

The change to danger zone is crazy on warlock. 😂
I literally got vex mythoclast to drop last week before this new season.
On the hunter exotic glaive didn't they decrease the damage of the actually shot which then sends out the bolt?
The thing that holds vex back compared to Revision zero is Vex requires kills to get its linear shots, which means it wont have a ton of uptime in things like GMs
This comment is absurd.
What a horrible take.
You didn’t show the pre and post dps for the majority of the auto rifles and pulses though. You mentioned them but never actually showed it. How much is ruffus doing now? Nechrochasm etc?
What I don't understand is that I see all these videos about how it works, but whenever I use Edge of Concurrence and activate the lighting perk, I shoot the ground and it just dissipates. I can't get it to work and I have tried many MANY times.
I took a break while my buddy kept going, and he reached 48 games of pvp and no catalyst
Ive gotten the thorn past 40 mag. Without the catalyst.
I just want OG LeMonarque back
Can you PLEASE put the pre and post numbers on the screen at the same time and have them last longer than half a second???
I didn't click the video to see mid gameplay, I clicked the video to see the changes.
Guess I gotta go for vex now...
Veterans account for like 10% of destiny players. This is clearly for everyone else. It's not like they're getting raid, dungeon, or adept stuff. I wouldn't even say any of those weapons are a leg up for any of the tougher content. I get that most of us worked through the grind, and it seems kind of unfair. But for me... I prefer this. It's not nearly as bad as the ability to buy season ranks or boost your character to the cap.
