I don't have a business name yet. I'm a career truck driver with a heart to be a owner. I love what I do, now I ready to do it for myself. My motivation isn't to make more money. I want to be able to be more active in my kids life. I'm working 65 hours a week and I missing out on my kids life.

I’m so thankful for being able to listen to this episode, seriously! “Character trumps charisma” is a WORD. I just had a long conversation with my manager about my want and need to make a bigger, more positive impact on people’s lives. I would love to help others find their purpose and a career that truly is fulfilling to them, and give them the tools/resources to make it a reality. I am still in progress with this very thing. I work in big pharma and have a great job with great benefits, but I do not feel this is where I’m supposed to be. I’m not fulfilled.

“Dream big, start small” that’s a word! I believe too many people get caught up in the “where they are now” syndrome and try to get there as quick as possible and that’s just not the way. Every plant and every tree has grown from a small seed and we must understand that it is ok to start small because with time, work, and dedication we will eventually grow into that tree. So glad I came across this. Speaks to a lot of what I am doing with my life now. 🙏🏾

Even in the black manosphere anecdotely, as much as they talk that "f these 304s" almost all the guys who are well off and or millionaires are married and married in the 20s. Now most will not be able to get that level of cooperation long term from girls to accomplished.
Also if you go corporate, above regional manager they're married. Single CFOs where?
That's why it feels like women can't just run up on a baller & get the Cinderella story. Another woman got there 1st & it is typically early on.

AO!!! Jamal!!!! This one was heaaavvyyyyy!! In one of the most positive ways to mention. This spoke to me because I found myself just this morning trying to pin point where my STRESS stemmed from!! Well, I’ve been a hair salon owner for 7 years(Obey the Crown Loc Bar) and now my business is smack dead in the middle of it’s pivot. I’m on my way to product land. I have my own hair care line that I have been working on the past two years and last year August God pulled me forward to reveal that it was time to go FULL TIME!! It was scary, I lacked knowledge, but I am happy to say, that after staying the path from then until now? I am now bringing my products in-house opening a warehouse and store(looking to franchise those in the future)for my customer base. Newest struggle was being so EXCITED and dreaming big and wanting to start big!!! This morning, I understood that that is where this additional stress weight is coming from... slow down Tish, dream big, start small. We are on new turf now and we do NOT need to spiral out of control because of excitement. After watching this interview, I cried tears of joy because this is EXACTLY what I needed. I am a single mother of two, making 6 figures, but now? I’m coming for 7!!!! Thank you all so much for this information. I appreciate you more than you’ll know!!

I hear you loud and clear. I’m an indie author and self publish. I’ve been trying to build my business and tribe for a long time with little success. I wear all the hats as many solo entrepreneurs do, and I have to admit I’ve gotten discouraged. Though I’m pushing through and creating products and content it’s so difficult to maintain the momentum. Watching/Listening I’m energized to keep going. I feel that I’m working within my purpose, but individually I want to be able to live financially free.

I think this may be my favorite conversation on this show. I was actually really sad when it ended! In every conversation you have Anthony, a lot of wisdom is shared that is a blessing to all who listen. But it was something about this conversation...Maybe it's the way you both practiced vulnerability (you sharing how you were discouraged because of the criticism from listeners when you first started on the Dave Ramsey show) or the way God was threaded all throughout this conversation... I think it may be the latter! This wasn't a conversation, but a sermon! So good, so important, so needed. Watching this on my work computer as I contemplate my future. After almost 9 years, today is very likely my last day as a loan officer at a nationwide top 5 mortgage company. Not all my choice but I'm cool with it. Been moonlighting with real estate for a while now so I will take that, and my company, Washington Capital Investments, full-time for the foreseeable future. I may still put in resumes for other 6-figure jobs while I'm at it but I know the sky is the limit if I can just stand the rain a little while longer. I've been working for 34 years and have had other ups and downs but I know God is good and, as long as you have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, vision, and a little bit of fearlessness, you can do anything.

It's more than character and charisma...You have to have the anointing. To get the anointing, you have to have God on your team. "Seek ye 1st The Kingdom of God and everything will be added unto thee."
This young man is on fire 🔥 for the Lord. As a young preacher, I hope and pray his zeal for the Lord does not get side track and he drum to the beat of his own drums and stop seeking God about His people after... finding wealth and success. Like some of these big time preachers and bishops.
