@Kelly Besse , Kelly, I am so sorry. This is true heart break, and Mother Nature is a force of life that none of us can defend against, totally. Please focus on you loved ones and I’m just so very sorry, and feel completely powerless, knowing that all your local community support, is likely, also, in a weakened position, in terms of giving any comfort or aid. I know people will come whom can provide some small comforts, and the little acts of kindness and human connection and compassion, and lend you their faith, in a time when your world is upside down, inside-out or feels like is gone. Time won’t restore everything, but it can restore your spirit. Hold on .. a train is coming (metaphorically)to bring you wherever you need to be. And, the strength and the love and community you need to slowly, recover, are already delivered. 🙏☝️💔🛡⚔️🤝😥 🤗 🤗💪☀️💫🕊🕊☯️🌹..we will keep a light on, and remember you in our days, nights, prayers and actions. I imagine you’ve seen the sunrises since the storm crashed in. Please try to find, ask, or borrow any hope you’ve lost. Accept the strength of others, we all need to learn to lean on our brothers & sisters in our Sacred Human Family, because the sun will continue to rise, however we are ALL going to continue to be tested, and forced to change...ALL OF US, in some way or other, and if any of us are going to make it, we all need to bring everyone along who is faithful, willing, but also those frightened, weak, and without a fortified Spirit, who truly need to be rescued, and don’t know their way home. So, I will not forget you, and with every sunrise I pray you’ll get the strength you need to renew your Spirit, daily, and help someone who may need saving. Sometimes when we’re completely defeated and powerless, it’s in surrender, acceptance, and helping one another, being there for one another, The gets us through the darkness. Fear not, He knows already, and you will be restored, stronger than before. God Bless Kelly, 🙏☝️🌎🕊☀️🌹💜🌟🤝💪☮️🤗❤️🤗💫 You are Never Alone - Nature is a great equalizer, and we need to recalibrate our liver, and “simplify”, for the coming seasons. Understand what we really need, and what we do not. And, we are all going to reconcile with this new way of living. More will be revealed. Keep your eyes, your mind and your heart open to what is on the horizon. I pray Oder is restored in your life, in a simpler, more valuable way, together with all Life on Earth, sacred humanity, and also all living things. Our Creator has got us, and we need to let the Divine run the world, no more false, shiny, distractions or fantastical aspirations. Life is Good and we must revere, reserve, and conserve it. You’re going to be okay, Kelly. Be aware, and you will see “the way”. A Higher Way, starting in the soil and the seas. And within a new paradigm, led by Our Father.I wrote a bit of a letter, just Incase you need a moment of quiet distraction. I’ve nothing more to offer right now, but I do have Love and Faith and a Hopeful Vision, and it’s All Yours, to take from, if you ever need.❤🙏☝️☀️

I’m a native Floridian. I’ve been through too many hurricanes. Ian included, I’m just north of Tampa. I down stacked my Greenstalk and filled my garden shed with all my potted plants, took the cover off my greenhouse. My yard is a mess now that the storm has passed, large limbs and branches are everywhere. I will be spending the next several days cleaning my 2.7 acres. Player for all those who have had endure the wrath of Ian.

The wind got pretty serious and tossed us around a bit but I did strap the camper down the best I could. All the animals on the farm are doing well but most the birds in chicken tractors are a bit shook up. Tomorrow the weather should be clear enough to put all the premier fencing back up and hopefully put the birds back on pasture. Very fortunate it wasn’t worse. Y’all be safe

I'm in Mountains last hurricane we had blew a triple oak tree across my entire house. Scariest thing to ever happen. That sound was terrifying. I worry because my house is surrounded all sides by hundreds of huge trees. Stay safe everyone. Stay close to the Lord🙏💕

My sisters dad lives on an island in Florida which was directly hit by Ian. He was able to make it off the island at the last minute, but was still caught in the eye of the storm right off the coast. We couldn’t get in touch with him for almost 24 hours but finally learned he’s safe. Now he’s trying to get back to the island to see what’s left of his house. My prayers go out to you, your family, and your animals that everyone is safe and the damage is minimal ❤

I hole everything turns out ok where you live. The eyewall came right past us here in Central Florida at a Cat. 4- Cat. 2.. We are all ok thank goodness, no major damage to the house, garden or chicken coop we built.. Hope your family stays safe during the storm. That was the most powerful and scariest storm I've ever been through in the 14yrs I've been living here. Keep us posted. 🙏

Hi Jess. Here in Prince Edward Island Canada we just suffered through Hurricane Fiona. We had 150 mile per hour winds (about 93 miles per hour) Beef and dairy farmers lost their entire herds when barns collapsed. High tunnel frames are still standing but their covers are gone. Our greenhouses were wiped out. The devastation is unbelievable. Our RV camper was picked up and slammed back down. I think Hurricane Ian is even worse. I'm glad you're not directly in it's path. I pray for you and everyone else experiencing this.

Australian Shepherds have been our breed of choice for years: 2 blue merles female, 1 red merle male who is now 14….love those faces. 🥰 I volunteered for Guide Dogs and was in charge of socializing the 8 week old Lab Retrievers! What a job! But I would take me a Bear any old day for my best friend!

OMG! I love Aussie's. I lost my boy a year ago at the age of 16. I miss him so much and seeing these puppies was so joyful and sad for me. My grandkids brought me a puppy 2 months after I lost my Aussie(that was his name) but he is a mixed breed and of course I feel in love with him but at my age I could not handle 2 puppies. Aussie's are an all around wonderful breed.

Jess, you and your family have our prayers for your safety. My son and I spent 2-3 days, closer to 2 days in a hurricane shelter. Since we don't have a generator, and since I have asthma (which at this point is very well controlled), but, if an attack should occur, I need power to run my nebulizer. I have, in the past, had attacks that were pretty scary, but which the nebulizer meds stopped. So, we just don't risk being out of power for any extended length of time. Where we live, we were mostly spared the worst effects of Hurricane Ian, and in fact, did not even lose power, so we were homeward bound at the earliest possible moment. My prayers are also with those in South/Southwest Florida who have suffered so much. I heard a news broadcast that as of this moment, 21 souls have lost their lives, and that toll is expected to rise. My heart grieves for these losses. I pray that Ian's effects will be much less in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. God bless you and yours, and may He keep you all safe.
