My son is obsessed with my Anbernic, so I'm getting him one of these for his birthday. Seems like the right fit for him, while not being too expensive unless it breaks.
I just got this for 15 dollars on Temu, can't wait for it. I already have all the expensive handhelds but wanted something cheap and I LOVE the form factor of this one!
Got mine yesterday and I think $23 watching now but just in case.... Those who have issues with SNES and Sega it's the pal version and on the settings changing it to PAL fixes most games. Won't fix all of them but most of them
Got mine for under 15 from Aliexpress. I love it ! It has a good weight to it. Loaded with tons of games. Controls are decent but not the best. Over all worth the 15$

i own one since release, Im here to give you some advice about this system and Tricks. 1. Connect to tv but sound is low ? First open the game in your system than after you get sound in your system from the game Connect to tv and you will get very good sound. 2.Lag,bad fps and slow games Easy fix usually happen because system wont upload the game completely so ez fix is open game than Quit and Re open it. in 80% of games this usually work without any issue at all(Also make sure battery is full because that could also cause issues). This is more common issues but very simple fix. Nice video !!
I oredered one of these for £11 from aliexpress. I plan on changing the buttons and Dpad with original snes controller ones as they are compatible. the games can be edited with 3rd party apps. menus and music can also be edited but not as easily. looking forward to playing around with it. cant complain with its pricetag
Hi wicked! Nice console. Got mine ebay 24 quid. Seem to have shot up. Seen for 79 $ stupid. Thank you for info. Anytime new stuff come out . I always go to you first . Thank you Richard !
I reviewed this console myself and at £21 I got it for I loved it. I know the console has many problems but apart from the family pocket I think it's the best cheap console. Great review buddy and perfectly honest at the same time 🙂👍
I think this thing sucks lol, I got it because people gave it decent reviews, the dpad sucks, emulation is terrible NES or aka Famicom on this runs to fast, everything else runs slow and has major audio issues, the only thing this emulates right is gameboy.I guess its worth it if you want this just for the gameboy selection but everything else is absolutely terrible. The only 2 things possitive about this is it has a decent joystick(which is almost needed to play anything) and it has a big gameboy selection.but you get what you pay for, since this happens to be a popular device im going to see if they can update the firmware to run with retroarch or something.I got one of those playstation classic things from a pawn shop for 20 dollars and made a bootable retroarch thumb drive for it and it can play up to dreamcast just fine.I think thats why I dont like it because I spent less on the PS classic with retroarch then I did on this and the soft modded PS classic plays everything perfect
I have a PS1 classic and got to admit it's great with emulators it's a little power house really. I think for the price of the handheld it done the Gameboy and snk emulator ok but it does run really badly on most emulators
@@Badabingsta i could upload my sd card's files onto some file sharing site and send you the link to the download. its all OEM I havent made any changes to the settings or anything. I just need to locate my micro sd to sd card reader.also there is a fix to the bad SNES emulation. you simply start a game exit then start it again and it works perfectly.its got a shit OS.I hope someone makes good homebrew software.I have a thing called a Gbox. Its basically a pandoras box arcade but uses a controller instead of arcade stick but a group of people made some nice software for it
It is pretty neat for being so cheap! Some of the audio issues are due to it outputting stereo audio with only one speaker, vs. combining both L and R channels into one. Maybe they will fix it, Data Frog already did one update to the image and have said they are going to make more, like to add controller remapping. There is some community support, too, like to already remap buttons, or change the rom list. Full CFW is unlikely, but some tweaks to the apps used may be possible. The dpad needs a little pressure at first to do diagonals, but it has softened up a lot on mine with some use, and it isn't too bad now.
I really am thankful for all the reviews you are doing of these cheap handhelds. I was just tempted by a deal on aliexpress, but i decided to check your review again before biting the bullet - which is good, because i think its not for me!
it's worth mentioning that it uses 18650 batteries, works fine with flat top AND button top 18650 cells. So with a battery upgrade this thing will run twice or triple as long as with the included battery. It comes with a cheap no name 1500mah cell, my charger says it has around 1200mah, a good brand 18650 like the Samsung 30Q delivers 3000mah and goes for around five bucks.
Hello! May I ask if you can add more games on this handheld? I've been planning to buy this (or the GB300) because of the replaceable 18650 batteries.. thanks a lot!
Thanks for the review Wicked Man 🎉. So cheap I had to order it too ! Reminds me of my first Pocket Go ❤, felt cheap also but it was a joy to discover and play !
Glad I found a review for this unit So I can play while riding on a plane without taking out my switch or steadmdeck from my bag or playing in the office secretly
Thanks for the review, I've been eyeing this one for a while! I'm mainly into 8bit and 16bit games, so I don't need a powerhouse system. Once I have the $25 or so to spare (yes, I'm that poor ha), I'll be picking one up! Also, it's great how these budget systems have evolved so quickly to accommodate more emulators (not just Famiclones) and the ability to load your own game roms (because it's inevitable that even with tons of games loaded, there's always a favorite title missing... I have multiple older budget handhelds, and the one I play depends largely on which was has the particular game I'm in the mood for). EDITED TO ADD: Also jazzed that it uses USB-C.
The case is very nice for that price point. Not too tiny like many others. But it needs more power to run all systems without hickups or sound issues. They should make a Pro Edition with a similar case but with better controls and more processor power. I would happily spend a little more for that.
Love your reviews. Very thorough. I bought the Datafrog SF2000. Got it 5/17/23. Not too bad. However dead the next day. Won't boot up. It is fully charged. It powers up but now just a black screen. I got 1 day out of it. SD card must have gone bad. Very frustrating. Seller is not helping. Hoping to find someone nice who would be willing to send me a copy of the SD card so I can use it again.
Hello my AV in the menu the sound is ok once o get inside a game it gets very low and gets interference. What can I do to help soilund? I have normal led TV with scary and composite
Also has a search mode but it takes about 30 seconds if it can find the game or not! Won't play any Gameboy Advance or any Super Nintendo games! But it's a beast at playing the original Gameboy and Gameboy color games! Excellent quality game console so I have to give it a rating 7.5 out of ten!
6:30 This thing can't play GBA? I have a GP2X from 2006 that emulates the gba with 1 frame skip! It's a 166mhz magic eyes based system. The GBA had an ARM chip in it. The main CPU doesn't even need emulation. Do they even make a chip set that is this slow?
Has there been any images released that have some optimization or anything? I picked up impulsively but def pretty wack out the box. Nice form factor though.
Comes with Link's Awakening and Boinoic Commando! And you can use the top two buttons for auto fire and completely wipe out your enemies with Link's sword!
I ended up getting it and a few easy fixes I made now this handheld is great for its price. First the reason GBA isn't running full speed cause of Emulation, it's running I believe mGBA, That's a RetroArch Emulator. So If you get a "C to USB Cord" and Connect a Keyboard and Press F1, Go to Options of the RetroArch then go to Frameskip it's Probably on a Higher settings. Put it to 0 then it will run better. As for the Buttons like the Dpad, Just use the same "C to USB Connector" then I Attached a 8bitdo Wireless Adapter so I could use a better Bluetooth Controller. After that it became the best cheapest Handheld.
My main question is does it have any issues with the button sticking because I'll be honest I have a pocket go S30 and I enjoy it but that's the main reason why I could play it in the morning what I do is because the buttons tend to stick and that's regardless of if I try to put it in something to protect it when I'm not using it but it still stick on me all the time If The buttons don't stick then would be a great option for $30 for older games now the pocket go is very can do PS1 and some Dreamcast this would be a great option for just be older stuff Please reply when you get a chance and I hope everyone is having a good day God bless you and your family God bless you Jeremy Scruggs

Don't forget they used to price it at like 20 or something . It's a very good nes, gb and GBC. Some SNES and mega drive games work too without any problems . Ideal for me who just wants a cheap thing to play when travelling but don't want a switch or anything the like or buy an expensive emulator console . The only problem i see is that it takes a lot of effort to update and remove games . Because I don't need 5000 games . I just want a few , especially annoying if you type in Pokemon and find 10 different or more answers but half of them are in Japanese or Chinese . They probably went on a rom site and downloaded all they could find . Removing them isn't as easy as just deleting them off the SD card as you will still see them but cannot play . There is a tool for it but it makes not much sense to my why it's programmed like this haha. There might be the possibility of optimization that they run more or all GBA and SNES games and update that the speaker is just mono always and the games not trying to play stereo .
So Powkiddy V90 is still the king of beggars I gather? With the lower prices of shipping over here, I'm even able to find them both for small price difference it seems
Wicked it definetly is NOT 100% perfect BUT i myself would say at $20 delivered that this little bad boy would score a 85% score. Got $20? But this machine!
