@BQ Foster: Looks like _she_ is confused and doesn't know it, and then confused that fella, at _his_ expense, no less. I've seen her do much greater and much more impressive things than that.
@Daishikaze : I fell in love with her watching _other_ of her films and _Wings_ [1927]. She was a lot more than only adorable in those. This one on the contrary doesn't impress me in the least.
Rumour has it, originally there was no music in these movies. Instead, there were live orchestras playing to accompany them in the theater. These have now been re-made(edited) with music, I think. Good question. And lol.
In the 1920s, was there ANYPLACE where it was considered o.k. for a man to not wear a suit and tie? The whole concept of dressing like that to go on amusement park rides now seems so incongruous!
Does anyone know what score this is (as in who composed the soundtrack to this version of the film)?? This music is absolutely beautiful and fits what's happening onscreen perfectly! ❤
Clara Bow was on a date she had a wonderful time and she was happy we want to see more just like that that's a love love love love love love love love we need some more movies just make more movies for us to COK Clara Bow talk to you later
"I think the sound is messed up, i cant hear what they are saying." Jun A. I know what you mean. I was listening to the radio the other day, and I couldn't see the picture at all.
Don't you love how most women in silent films have goth? LOL, seriously though, Clara was awsome, the prototype of other greats not yet known at that time. It's unfortunate that due to our litigation crazed society, we can't have such fun houses today.
Hot dogs that sizzle and satisfy! Indeed! ...and some lay the blame at the feet of Clara Bow...the first It-Girl. The Millard Fillmore of Hopscotch. The invention of the hindbrain.
@@dariowiter3078 But of course. The movie was called "It"...and the concept of an "It-girl" came after...at least that is what I am assuming. Since "it" was a euphemism for "sex", there could well have been prior "it-girls". Not likely, but possible. Thanks.
But, notice how everyone was wearing suits, and they all look basically the same. Almost as if they didn't really care-but didn't want to seem contreversial-so they just wore what everyone else was wearing..
Hmm, I liked her better in _Wings_ , a much greater film of that same year. ruclips.net/video/GFRas2-x_OQ/видео.html The character she plays in this film, on the other hand, I would've left her ass at the amusement park with the stuffed animals that came out of my pocket, telling her "Get a horse!" while driving away in _my_ automobile. Hmm, dunno if she ever made it home or whatever... hehehehehehe
I wish my life was like this clip, haha...
I love Clara Bow.
The social mixer looks like so much fun...... and Clara Bow was adorable. :)
Her immediate response to his kiss is just about the funniest scene ever in silent films (that I have viewed).
The Social Mixer ride looks like good fun, and Clara Bow was probably fun too.
I can just imagine what it would be like to go on a fun date with Clara...WOW!
happy birthday it-girl
I looooooove this movie and Clara
clara bow is a fantasticly fascinating person
So funny and cute! Clara Bow is adorable.
Thank you for posting this! Please keep it posted I love it!
Love ya, kid. RIP.
Omg she is the most charming creature ever!
"It' was the perfect way to show off Bow's sensual, cute big eyed appeal. The actor who plays her boss does a great job as the confused suitor.

That's Antonio Moreno who plays the main male lead "Cyrus Waltham" in It(1927). ☺️
Love it! Thank you!!
I absolutely fell in Love with Clara Bow watching this movie and Wings. She was simply adorable.

I just saw this at the Sprekels Organ Pavilion in San Diego with an Orgainist- it was fantastic!
That is a big slide Clara Bow I wish I was on there with you have a big slide coming down movies please🎥🏆🏆
This is so cute 😍
Clara is fucking awesome!
I would love to go to a carnival like this.
@1:26- I think that was what we called a "turkey trot". We also had a "social mixer" at school, which we called the "whizzy". Great fun!

Clara's very vivacious. I've never seen a clip of her. 'It' looks good fun, I shall try to seek it out. Who says youtube is all bad?
This also marks Snoopy's first appearance.

Haha bit of an overreaction to the kiss wasn't it? ^_^
But dangerous. Look at those rides! That 'social mixer' thing probably wouldn't be allowed today.
It's a silent film from the 20s... they didn't have sound just music.
I think the cartoon character Betty Boop was created after Clara Bow. They look and behave very similarly.
anyone know what the stuffed puppy with the teardrop is called? sooooo cute
Sitting dog pattern by Lester Shafer
@@TheRageCommenter thank you so much- love this little dog! Going to look it up now.
@bqfoster That would be Antonio Moreno.
I love the early movies. I've given you five stars, please check out my silent movie memorabilia vids (includes Clara Bow)
when you have time.
THEY TORE DOWN FUN HOUSE - TOO MANY LAWSUITS/INJURY

She wasn't "the first It girl ," David. She was simply "The 'It' Girl."

This is completely wrong. No movie was ever shown silent. At the very least there was a piano in the theatre.
Clara just seems like a regular girl to me, i dont understand what is charming about her. can someone please explain and help me understand
It's called charisma & personality. Some have it.
Exactly. Give me a regular girl with that over a flashy one every day. You don't get much cuter than Clara.
Shes regular but in a cute way

how come they can put music in the movie but no speech? surely its the same things, just less annoying?
This music was added in recent years, not when the movie was made. A live pianist or orchestra played in the theaters back then.
ahhh 2:38 it's nice to know men were still pigs nearly a hundred years ago lol
