Where was such earnestness and olive branchery in the time line for this conflict going back to the 90's. I don't recall Ukraine particularly caring what India thought even up to this year with the Ukrainian minister accusing India of profiting from Ukrainian blood. Why on earth isn't anyone talking about 2014: when Kyev reneged on the agreement to cease bombing its population in the East of the country, slaughtering many. While it was difficult for our students numbering up to 20k to leave the country at the start of the war. I'm not aware of any overt racism towards our students prior to the war. Not speaking Russian they would mostly have been shielded from it. If it was unsafe there never would have been so many Indian students in Ukraine to begin with.
However, I wholeheartedly agree with the reneging to cease attacks on the population in the east. When it comes to HR violations Zelensky would top the list. I do not find credible the accusations against Russia about this when the population they are rescuing happens to be Russian in the first place.

Ukraine is buying Russian oil as well and was helping to sale Russian oil and gas all this time even during a war. Soviet pipelines goes from Russia through Ukraine to EU and was used to sale Russian gas and oil.
