Steel connections would have to be detailed manually, or with a GDL object. When it comes to steel, I usually just draw pin-to-pin to get the accurate lengths, and throw a factor at connections weight. To go further and detail the connection (plates/cuts/bolts/welds) you could rig up a little group of elements/objects to apply. I think Graphisoft has more in terms of connections coming in AC23
