I was 13 when a guy came to my place with the "Left Hand Path" album by the swedish death metal band Entombed. the first song goes off and start with a solo. The guy say to me as the solo play "Listen! All Satanist bands play backwards so they have the solo at the start of the song".

Dude you choose the best solos. It seems like you and I have extremely similar tastes in music. Uli Jon Roth is awesome. I consider myself quite a metalhead, and I first heard this song years ago. Ever since I've basically considered it my favorite guitar solo of all time. This is probably the closest any one musician has come to playing the "perfect" rock/metal guitar solo.

    • @DoHoeijmans

I agree. The best solo's are from the 70's indeed! Page Roth Blackmor Van Halen can't beat them.

I am not one who quickly dismisses "Theory"Vs just raw Talent. But, I believe learning all the different parts of this tune unlocks the whole fretboard and is an excellent tune to teach to help those stuck in a ret! This song makes you move even if you do not wish to! However if you find yourself involuntary moving to this toon No Worries it's alright. It does com naturally to some but to others, you may feel a bit IN TRAPPED, don't be alarmed! This tune is way better than coffee in the morning before work!

Uli is so freaking cool. I wish I could afford one of those sky guitars. They aren't made by Dean anymore. Now they're made by his favorite luthier, privately, basically. At least I'm pretty sure that's how they're doing it. They range from like $10k all the way up to almost $40k. I'd say that's a rip off, but they're sort of like collectables. And they're really, really, very, very cool. 😎 🎸
