- I am back competing at otb chess and I'm so excited!! I'm playing Rilton Elo, which is a tournament in Stockholm for people under 2200 and my goal is to win the whole thing :D this is the recap of round 7 - hope you enjoy!!

A spectacular game, Anna. I thought Pia was going to explode at one point, and I had to sit down with a cup of chamomile tea and a small cake afterwards. My God - you might win this tournament.
I remember a few weeks ago she was knocking down 2400s in Blitz. She should have the confidence to win because she certainly has the ability.
I'm completely confused, how did she go from 1.1 seconds to 29:01 ?

Anna, as a big fan of your talent, your infectious enthusiasm for chess and your big beautiful smile, I will just say what you already know: Your greatest weakness is using up too much game time. Since I started watching your channel my hair has turned grey and whenever I see your clock running down below ten seconds it triggers my chess PTSD ! You are killing me. I can’t take much more! Please remember how good it felt in this game to be up on time, relaxed and in control. Set an internal time limit on moves for yourself and I see you advancing in leaps and strides, beautiful and unstoppable like some Viking Queen of chess! Wishing you great things for this tournament and whatever follows. Good luck!
I am actually ready to bet that Anna's opponent played fast to begin with because he knew and wanted to take advantage of Anna's poor time management. But then he played a little too fast and blundered. I suspect those young players shoot themselves in the foot more often than not trying to play those psychological games... I really doubt Pia spends any time on such dubious tricks... Anyhoo, Anna played beautifully and all ended well!

Hilarious - I laughed so much when you pronounced your opponets Korean...err.. Swedish name. Your typically assured voice pauses, then goes soft, low and tremulous, and finally rounded off with a plaintive gesture as if you had just torched your chess rating. It was as though you were facing the full might of a Carlsens' rook, bishop and queen attack!
Whatever the outcome of this tournement it looks like you are learning to confront your most difficult challenger on the board: Yourself! So instead of fretting over tactics, tactics, tactics you are now seeing how time management affects your game!! Always enjoy your videos and learn so much.

The start seeding had 1 woman in the top7, said woman being Anna at #7. Second highest seeded woman was seeded #21
After 7 rounds, there are now 5 women in the top 7 and Anna is tied for #1
Also, I can't commit myself to watching the full games but I absolutely love the short highlights from your mother's commentary.

Annas own coments together with Pia in background is a good concept
