The last roundabout of metro bank, signboard says there are two exits, and we need to go to second exit to approach test centre, why don’t we use the right lane as we followed the signboard for previous roundabout to know which lane must be use
Thank you HQ today is the day of my driving test in Luton. Thank you for all the tips and help this far I hope you videos as well as my own confidence means I can pass.
@3:04 you advise no signal necessary for turning right onto Telford way, as you may confuse Bury Park traffic entering said roundabout. (I beg to differ). I say a signal is necessary. (please view my criticism as constructive criticism not a dig).
Thanks Ruddy 😊. Its a choice to make both ways are correct. The argument is sometimes your signal fors confuse road users from bury park side and they can pull out . If you dont signal they would know what you intend to do. However thanks for your feedback 😊👍🙏
Thanks Ruddy for that question, and thanks Drive with hq for your response. However, I have a few follow-on question from Ruddy's. Comparing this roundabout with the roundabout in the same video at 8:30seconds. 1. The roundabout is the same with the first one with 4 exits... *I believe* . I thought Bury Park is the second exit? 2. You *signalled right* and then left. So why did you signal right here and not at the 3:04 roundabout? Please could you kindly clarify? Thank you kindly.
@@danielcecil951 On Bury Park roundabout left lane require a left signal to take you along hatters way (first exit) that's towards B&Q. Middle lane no signal straight ahead second exit to Bury Park. Right lane right signal 'IS' required third exit which will take you on Telford way towards Bedford. If your intention is to join the left lane on Telford way (3rd exit) then on entry to the roundabout stick to left of the right entry lane and maintain the outer lane on the roundabout, if your intention is to join the right lane on Telford way (which takes you to town center) then on entry stay on the right of the right entry lane which is also the same position for a u turn 4th exit. Though I appreciate some roundabouts conform to different rules, and one size doesn't necessarily fit all, these two roundabouts are pretty much the same on signalling. Going back to whether traffic comming from Bury Park will be confused or not (I would say they would be more confused if they do not see a signal and suddenly you go right, 'towards Telford way' they will be more tempted to pull out as they were expecting you to be heading to Bury Park.). Back to the Vauxhall roundabout on the second bend there are chevrons on the inside which will force you to exit in the left lane on the dual carriageway pass Vauxhall Evans Hallshaw (that's not to say you can't exit on the right lane; But it is not the more appropriate lane as right lane is the overtaking lane. I reiterate that I see no difference in signalling on the two roundabouts.
Yes 👍. stay in the middle lane before the round about, then push towards the outside lane as you are pass the first exit indicate left where. Hope it answers the question
Try to park in the white box conveniently if they ask you to do so. Even if its a single yellow line you park and ignore rhe instruction. Don’t overly worried too much. You may get a minor fault
At 7:24 when you entered in the mostoutside lane while passing by 1st exit, I heard the indicator voice. Did you indicate Right at that time? Also, can I also use the most right lane to take 3rd exit as that showed a straight plus small right arrow? Thank you
Good question , its a breakaway left signal It was given a little early, the idea is to show the traffic on third exit that you are exiting the round about. Hope it answers the question
@aronshehu5613 hi, sorry for the late reply and i did pass thankfully. I had my test this week as DVSA cancelled my original test date, but i had it at the same time. The route started with the Saint mary Roundabout, where i took the 2nd exit (bedford) and we went left from there. There is a roundabout with parking on this right i went there to do reverse bay park and he then took me to Vauxhall way with the 2 roundabouts. Good luck with ur test :)

Thanks Russel that was definitely Kimpton Mixed them with skimpot ☺️
Great video series! This video in this series is a duplicate of the last one i.e. video#3 is a duplicate of video#2.
in manor road do you park on the white box if the examiner says pull up on the left
Try to park in the white box conveniently if they ask you to do so. Even if its a single yellow line you park and ignore rhe instruction. Don’t overly worried too much. You may get a minor fault
However , do not park on the double yellow lines. Hope this answers the question
