Those crowdsourcing contests are disgusting honestly. They get free work. That filmmakers pay for. Id prefer just non affiliated situations. Specs are kind of dead. Better to try to get an actual client to let you do for free. But hust you exclusively. Not crowdsourced. Imo. Timed festivals are low rung too. Not nearly as recognized by prod cos as top 10 fests. Ive seen so many people shoot beautiful work, high concept. And get nowhere. Thick skin, luck and networking is required.
