Hi Jay, I usually don’t comment on public forums but I wanted to make an exception and comment here to specifically thank you for all your wonderful RUclips tutorials for PTE and IELTS. I couldn’t crack IELTS writing (scored 9 in all modules except writing where I could only get 7.5 but I needed an 8 ). So after 3 attempts on IELTS, I decided to switch to PTE but wasn’t so enthusiastic as the components are a lot and truthfully I am pathetic when it comes to describing charts and maps. But I decided to give PTE a go as I was repeatedly falling short by 0.5 in IELTS writing. With hectic work schedule, all I did was play your vids while driving to work and memorising your structures and I am glad to let you know I scored 90 in all the components. I did struggle in Describe image but that was mainly due to lack of practice under test conditions rather than anything else.
To the test takers especially the younger lot, my only advise is don’t try to wing it like me. I have experience working with native speakers so I knew I can handle just by watching the videos and even then I struggled especially in Describe image as I never had to deploy that skill at work. Do take practice tests to familiarise with the test format.

Hey, Jay, thank you for your lesson. I want to ask if I take many notes, if I fix them in the template you give in the DI lesson the forty seconds will be not enough. Can I adopt the first and last sentence of your template and talk about the middle part without using the template? Will the scoring system thinks my retelling is not consistent from beginning to the end? Thank you very much, looking forward to your reply.

    1. The speaker was discussing (PTE tricks).

    3. He mentioned that (it is only possible through practice)
    4. He discussed the ( methods one should follow to get 79+)
    5. He also highlighted( one should have good "English knowledge")
    6. Finally, he suggested that ( "practice makes perfect")

Hi Jay, yesterday I took my PTE test and today I received the score - a perfect 90!! Scoring 90 in all the 4 sections, especially Speaking in the 1st attempt was unexpected for a non-native speaker like me on the actual exam 🙂Ardently watching your youtube videos and taking the Pearson Mock Tests helped me to achieve this very high score. I cannot thank you enough for the tremendous, free service that you're providing to thousands of students like me all over the globe. People, LEARN FROM THE BEST when it comes to PTE or IELTS!! I'm also donating as a small token of my appreciation. Once again, thank you for all that you do!!

Thanks Jay! This guy helped me a lot. I had only three weeks to prepare, and during that period, I lived and breathed PTE Academic videos, and about 99% of all those videos were from E2 Language. I also purchased the Gold Kit PTE Practice Test to fully familiarise myself with how the test feels like. My #1 Tip: Time Management! It doesn't matter how you make yourself feel relaxed, come test day, your heart will beat like a bass speaker playing a Jay-Z song, cause that little timer on the top right of your screen will seem like it's on fast forward. As soon as I left the building, I pretty much accepted the fact that I might not get my target 79+. I wasted too much time in the Speaking section that I failed to answer 2 questions in the Answer Short Question task. Also, during the Writing and Reading part, I had to focus on the tasks and me not urinating. Tip: Do not drink too much water and coconut juice before the exam. After two days of checking the results every 10 mins, I finally got my score - L 90 S 90 W 89 R 89 - Overall 90. And now, I'm expecting my ITA from Australia to arrive next round. Good luck guys!

    Dear Jay,
I am a professor of Information Systems (as well as a researcher of AI, which is heavily used in PTE), of Indian origin, living in a non-English speaking European country, since past 12+ years. I always paid attention to the language classes in my school years, and at the same time practiced listening, reading, writing and speaking in English all my life simply because I like learning languages. I never went to any "English speaking" tuition classes. Language learning is a daily process. For the PTE, I really didn't have much time to spend, and I was referred to your videos just 2-3 days before the exam. Your tips really came in handy - especially the ones in "Retell Lecture" and "Describe Image". Because my problem wasn't how to retell a lecture or describe an image, but how to do so in such a short time. Even I prepare such simplified tips for my students - some follow them, some just underestimate their power. Long story short, I got the overall score of 90, in the first attempt, after the preparation of a few days, and not actually practicing about most of the stuffs (due to lack of time). Your tips played a huge role in this. A big Thank you!
A tip, or two, for all those who are preparing for PTE: language learning is not a single day task, there are no shortcuts. But if you practice it in your daily life, you will be able to use the skills without much efforts. Most importantly, pay attention to the teacher's tips. Also, take a scored mock test 2-3 weeks before the exam to know where you need to improve. Although, I took a scored mock test just a few hours before the actual test, on the same day. So, the mock test helped me just to get an experience on all the types of questions that I couldn't practice because of the lack of time. But, that's not ideally how it should be .
Thank you again, Jay! My gratitude!
Best wishes to you and other students,
    Shah

This is my FIRST comment on RUclips. I can't express my gratitude towards you Mr. Jay. I myself am a lecturer (engineering). I know how important it is to truly communicate with students. It's amazing how you do it via RUclips. In my perception, what is important for teacher is to make lessons easy for students rather than just throwing out information onto them. You do that exceptionally well!
My reason to comment is basically to thank you for uploading these helpful videos on RUclips. I scored 63 (overall) in my first attempt, without watching your videos. After someone recommended your channel, I viewed one of your videos. Later on, I ended up watching all of them. Such was the level of captivation. The way you deliver the lectures is truly commendable. I scored 88 in my second attempt (79+ in each section), following your tutorials in a week.
It is my request to you to upload more videos of your lectures as they are not only meant for helping in cracking PTE but certainly to learn more about language. For those who need more help would definitely subscribe and go for Bronze or Budget package that E2LANGUAGE provides. Keep up the good work, Sir!. You will have more RUclips subscriptions in future.

Hi Jay, 2 years ago I took PTE Academic exams with little to none preparation. I had basically less than 2 weeks to prepare after my friend introduced me to PTE exam and offered me his online study materials from PTE. I took the exam and get the score I needed .
Fast forward to 2019, my PTE will expire in 5 months time. So this time I prepared and stumbled across your review site, and youtube videos. I did sign up at E2 Language. But even though I was up for the challenge my thirst for a proper guide on how to tackle PTE made me stick with your strategies. But this time I had 1 month to prepare and watch, listen and practice with your videos and tutorials. Balancing with work, life and review.
Yesterday, I got my result. Boy, I was smiling from ear to ear.. not just I passed it was a massive improvement of all my scores in communicative and enabling skills. I got 90’s on my speaking. Significant improvements in writing, which I always struggled with.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU JAY FOR YOUR HELP. Many people will remember you for your help.

Interestingly, i was waiting for your retell lecture video and found it just one day before the test. Lucky me! Thanks again.

This is gonna be a long one and may get buried in the comments list, but I just wanted to let you know that these videos have been of utmost help to me while preparing for the PTE.
I am fluent in English, so I presumed the PTE Academic to be a simple English test (ignorant me) that i could easily clear. I scheduled it, giving myself 15 days to prepare. I still didn't take it seriously, and sat down to study with around 12 days to go for the test.
When i went through the test structure, it made me dizzy. Too many sections in the test, and I kept getting confused between the different tasks. I could not, for the life of me, talk clearly in the Describe image task. Essay writing was painful.
I went through various resources in a nervous frenzy until i chanced upon these videos. This was with 6 days to go for the test.
For the next 4 days, I went through the videos for describe image, Re-tell lecture, essay writing, summarizing written and spoken texts and finally the Read Aloud video. What a revelation that was! Suddenly the test seemed less daunting, but still made me nervous though. I took notes of all the techniques highlighted in the videos, practiced the tasks given in the videos and other questions i could find on the internet.
I was able to get an overall score of 90 on my first attempt in PTE by following his tips.
My bit of advice to those looking to give the IELTS/PTE, please do give yourself adequate time to become acquainted with the language and the test format, and then book the test. There is no shortcut, there is no fooling the computer. There is no template which you can edit to suit each essay or other spoken/written tasks. Just some techniques that can help you mould your answers in a structured, coherent format. Jay's videos were the only source of credible information i could find, which focussed on improving MY skills, and not giving me false tips to "game" the test.
Yes, it will be hard work. Yes, you may feel overwhelmed at times. But the results will be worth it. I sure am elated with my results.
Lastly, even the native speakers may get stumped and start stuttering on the spoken tests, as described by Jay - the key is to march on, and keep talking.
Jay, I have, and will continue to recommend your videos to my peer group and friends. The Read aloud video was particularly helpful, even for people not looking to give the test. Thanks again!

Thank you so much Jay. I only focused on your youtube videos and managed to get overall score 84 on first attempt. I was aiming for 79 in all sections and you helped me do it. Writing -81, Speaking -90,Reading -90, Listening -84.
Three days before sitting the exam i got a bad flu and could barely even speak due to a bad sore throat so that stressed me up(lots of ginger and hydrogen peroxide helped)
I felt i made so many mistakes in writing(for one question i forgot to count words and exceeded the limit), listening(i got distracted a few times by the noisy room) and speaking(i hesitated twice, forgot one repeat sentence and didn't know the answer to one short question).
Best tip for speaking session, just keep speaking even when you are not too sure.
I was too scared to open the report and when my partner did and showed it to me i burst into tears!I cannot wait to give my donation.
PS. I had four weeks to prepare but my silly self waited for the last two weeks to start panicking and prepare(please don't be like me spend enough time studying)

Okay here's my story. I decided to write my PTE at a very quick notice. I booked my exam 2 weeks prior and I wasn't familiar with the test formats, tips or any sort of info until 3 days prior to my PTE. I just had 2 days to prepare literally. Randomly youtubed PTE Related videos. Found a lotta jay's videos. Followed his lecture and tips. I took 2 free tests on practicepte.com. It was the test day, finished it with ambiguous feelings. I got 88 (9 Pointer), figured out I lost more in grammar. So here's the thing: follow jay, his tips & techniques are fruitful in managing time and scoring. He's the real deal and his attention to detail while giving lectures is phenomenal. I guess you wouldn't need a month or more than a week to prepare for PTE. mine was 2 days. The main idea is not about memorizing or following something blindly, Improvising helps, if you are familiar with English and speak on a daily basis it shouldn't be hard. Good Luck For your Tests! Jay You ROCK \M/

"The speaker was discussing about reductive methods that could be used for issues regarding clocks. He discussed how if a clock broke down, it could be amended by fixing its gears and other parts. He also talked about how focusing on each component of a clock could eventually rectify the problem. In addition, he described cloud thinking as a complex procedure where he gave draught as an example. He then proposed a solution that could rectify the draught problem and mentioned that it could be solved by understanding the cloud. Lastly, he concluded and emphasized that reductive approaches are meant for fixing clocks and not for understanding draught or rain problems."
