Stryper have never really gotten their full due or respect as musicians! All 4 of these guys were/are each exceptional at their respective instruments! Michael and Oz are a very formidable guitar duo that not too many other Metal bands can boast of having. If they didn't have the Christian stance, alot of these musician-oriented magazines would probably be falling all over themselves trying to praise their talents!

The 4 OG members had the best group vocals next to only the great Queen imo .

I heard a guy on RUclips once say “if Stryper swapped out all the Gods and Jesus’ in their lyrics and changed them to Satans Luficers and Babies, they’d be biggest than Judas Priest.” I don’t know if I buy that, but they would definitely be considered amongst the best heavy metal bands on the 80s and still today. One of the few metal bands that has actually gotten better overtime. Their 4 records are probably the best stuff they’ve ever done

Stryper's 1st 2 full studio albums still give me goosebumps! This whole band was tight & inspired me to write Christian rock lyrics part of the time.

I have every CD that STRYPER has ever done!!! I saw them twice in the 1980's. But I never saw them them after that, because they didn't come to the area.

@@Deetroiter trying to remember the name. It was a big college in that area. Maybe Royal Oak ? IGWT tour they played at the Palace, Hurricane opened.

@@Tilbily hmm I know royal oak has Oakland community college. If it was Wayne state it was in detroit. Trying to think of some of the popular venues. I can’t imagine they played Harpos lol

@@Deetroiter not harpos lol! Definitely remember a big collegiate institute with a large theater stage, tiered seating. Stooooopidly loud ! Too bad the camera can't capture the volume. Yet clear and tight playing. Loved it.

There's probably no metal head rocker out there, who'd ever deny that Stryper can really Rock down the house!!! Great Memories from the mid 1980s...I think that their still Rockin for Jesus today.

Sbanger58 listen to their new albums if you haven’t since posting this comment. They are putting out music that a lot of fans (including me) believe to be their best work to date. Their new album they have coming in April looks to be incredible. Their new single “take it to the cross” rocks my face off every time I listen to it

This right here is true metal at its finest!!!
I love heavy, style of bass playing I just love hearing deep, heavy thunderous bass lines. Oz fox is a straight up surgeon on guitar. Michael Has one of the best Voices in the entire history of metal. I love his clean & wet blues based metal stle on guitar. He is truly gifted.
As for Robert? Well what more can or even needs to be said about the "Visual Timekeeper??
He is the greatest dummer in the historyof rock and heavy metal.

Listen close, Michael forgets the lyrics a few times. He fakes it pretty well though.

One of my all time favourites
In fact from memory my top 10 are:
    1) Katie - Seventh Angel
    2) Escaping the Altar - Betrayal
    3) See no Evil - Holy Soldier
    4) Shame - Crystavox
    5) Battle Cry - Messiah Prophet
    6) Soldiers Under Command - Stryper
    7) Wicked Generation - Sacred Warrior
    8) The Messiah - Bloodgood
    9) The Suffering Servant - Leviticus
    10) A Dog's Breakfast - Tourniquet
I would like to add 'Creeping Death' by Metallica , but I guess I shouldn't
    Anybody else?

@blitzburwell just because the illumanati used triangles does not mean stryper used them for the same purpose.. they used it to represent the perfect trinity.. father..son...holy ghost... for example... i have a rainbow umbrella.. i bought it because i didnt want a pink one... i am not gay and i dont support the gays.. but as christains we are to love the people.. but what im trying to say is... the rainbow was created by god in genesis...not by people for gay pride.. and i like genesis
