Art Donvavan was a man's man. They don't get any better than him. World War 2 veteran, NFL Hall of Famer, business man. And the best guy from the original NFL to interview, ever.
I wasn't born until 1965, so I never got to see him play. I did, however, watch many an interview with Art. I was blessed to have seen them. Art was the real deal. I will, hopefully, never forget him.

I know. My favorite was the story of David and Goliath. We all know how that one ended.
REAL....TOUGH....MAN. LAST MANS MAN. A True American Legend. A REAL Footbal Player. Go bless Mr. Donovan.
What a great ambassador for the game! And a captivating storyteller as well. Truly one of a kind old school football player.

Art came to an Alumni Dinner of steak and Lobster. He said "Take that back and bring me a dozen hot dogs. He ate them all.
