I kinda feel like you’re so different from other tourist, you are not just come to visit but you try to figure and know more deeply about us . I respect you for that and really appreciated ❤ Thank You so much for showing our growth even we’d been throughed a lot of things in the past. Thank You for coming to visit our country. ☺️
We were there last year and we saw quite a few Rolls Royce parking on the street. I think almost 70% out of 70 thousand residents living in that BKK1 district are foreigners (Japanese, Americans, Europeans, Korean, Singaporean, Chinese….). There are many huge and fancy coffee shops in Cambodia. Yes, we also saw a lot of Range Rover SUV’s. Very popular over there.
That is true. The majority are expats and young local professional. The wealthy cambodian prefers to live in Villa within Gated Community in Peng Huot, Sen Sok and other surrounded area.
Even in the poorest neighborhoods, you’ll casually see a Roll Royce or Maybach rolling around, it’s very typical, you might see more expensive cars here than any where in Southeast Asia. Thanks for sharing the video. We as Cambodian are really grateful and proud to see this.🙏
I didn’t expect that a country uses coconut as the name of the park, and most of the trees in it are not coconuts! The houses in the wealthy area are beautiful, thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! 👍😄👏 P. S. I will tell you some information about Cambodia. You can take a look when you have time! Regarding the quality of high-speed rail, I will also mention it by the way!
I find it so fascinating that Cambodia is an LDC, this area in comparison to the last area you were in, it so drastically different. I'm amazed they have an area so modern, it's fantastic to see. Hope you're enjoying your time there. Another killer video.
Assess LDC is based on the entire country as the whole. What he didn't show was the poor destitute hood and many of them just right in the backyard. Koh Pich (Diamond Island) was a brand new neighborhood and mostly foreigner's residents. About 3km from that island, it was a poor destitute hood. I am not sure, whatever he is the LDC activist.
I think it's a good idea for us to stop listening to the UN's opinion about another country and their development. Cambodia should grow slowly but strategically. Definitely one of the countries I'm interested in.

Hi Zane, at 10:35 actually Cambodia GDP is $45b(rebase) in 2024. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects that Cambodia’s GDP will grow by 6.1% in 2024, up from 5.6% in 2023. This positions Cambodia as the fastest-growing economy in Southeast Asia for the upcoming year. However, some sources, such as Open Development Cambodia, report an even higher of 7% GDP growth for Cambodia in 2024 projection of 7% GDP growth for Cambodia in 2024.
Cambodia just rebased GDP as per recommend by the IMF. Currently, Cambodia gdp is at around 45billions $, increase 35% from previous base gdp. This makes Cambodia’s already low debt to gdp ratio even lower to just 26.4%, second lowest in asean only behind Brunei. Normally, countries are recommended to rebase their GDP every 5 years or so, but Cambodia didn’t rebase its own GDP for past 20 years, so a 35% increase is totally normal.
As a Cambodian myself, this is not the only place where the elite is. The elite in Cambodia is spread everywhere. Being from a good income family, I personally have met many elite. UN takes time to update their country. Cambodia’s HDI increased from .593 to .600. We are only looking at the small sample of PP, which of course will be highly developed, but the rural and smaller cities are less developed in Cambodia. We still lack public transportation and other infrastructure. I believe you need a 0.700 to graduate from the 3rd world/less developed status, into “developing” status. 0.700 is seen as high HDI, 0.600 is seen as medium, any thing under 0.600 is low HDI

Cambodia gdp per capita in 2000 was 300$ while Thailand was 2000$. in 2024 Cambodia gdp per capita is projected to cross 2600$ (imf) while Thailand will be 7800$. we close the gap from 6.5 to 3. ur above statement is just ridiculous. if Cambodia fight like crazy for 2 decades they could possibly catch up to Thailand ? from 300 to 7800 in 20 years ? even
China the miracle growth of the 21century can not achieve this growth rate. At 7.7% per anuum in this last 20 years, Cambodia did a pretty good job.
They’re technically not even a ‘Least developed country’ but they choose to stay on it because of the benefits (even though again- they technically shouldn’t be on it). That being said they should get off of it in the coming year or so.

BKK BANGKOK
Very nice country to visit
Thanks you for visited Cambodia southeast Asia 🇰🇭 bro God bless you all there.
Brown coffee is the National brand and

Wow! Brave New World!! Thanks for Sharing..
Last visit was 2016 & this shocks me, actually Vientiane has houses like these growing everyday.
So good to review ❤
Looks a lot nicer than when I was there in 2013, although I did notice the trend of Boba/ Coffee shops starting then. I also saw a lot of range rovers and expensive pick up trucks at that time. I'd speculate it was the elite/ kids of the elite rather than the result of growth from development at the time.
Thanks for coming to Cambodia! ❤❤
Welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭

Another nice place to visit is Euro Park in Peng Huoth Beoung Snor, Chbar Ampov District, where you can spot many European Iconic buildings, nice park, and elite mansons (a couple million dollars houses). There is also a huge 3-4 lane cycling track/tunnel in theirs public area of the Eco-Colection gated community of Peng Huoth.
