I kinda feel like you’re so different from other tourist, you are not just come to visit but you try to figure and know more deeply about us . I respect you for that and really appreciated ❤ Thank You so much for showing our growth even we’d been throughed a lot of things in the past. Thank You for coming to visit our country. ☺️
We were there last year and we saw quite a few Rolls Royce parking on the street. I think almost 70% out of 70 thousand residents living in that BKK1 district are foreigners (Japanese, Americans, Europeans, Korean, Singaporean, Chinese….). There are many huge and fancy coffee shops in Cambodia. Yes, we also saw a lot of Range Rover SUV’s. Very popular over there.
There are actually over 300 Rolls Royce and Bentley in Cambodia. It’s insane
That is true. The majority are expats and young local professional. The wealthy cambodian prefers to live in Villa within Gated Community in Peng Huot, Sen Sok and other surrounded area.
@@KhmerOldiesAficionadoEt 5 Dacia 😂
@@coreana.aestheticsC'est logique que les riches vivent entre eux dans zones sécurisées partout dans le monde 😂
its a popular district among foreigners cuz of the western food chain
OMG Thank You For Visiting Our Country, We Really Appreciate Your Talking
From : Cambodia 🇰🇭
We welcome them Dear!
I want to go soon Defiinitely want to see your country Thank you!
I didn’t expect that a country uses coconut as the name of the park, and most of the trees in it are not coconuts!
The houses in the wealthy area are beautiful, thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! 👍😄👏
P. S. I will tell you some information about Cambodia. You can take a look when you have time!
Regarding the quality of high-speed rail, I will also mention it by the way!
they also have coconut brains over there
Tu préfères donner le nom d'une femme à ce parc?🤣
even funnier thing is they don't sell coconut juice in the coconut park... 😂
Nothing in Cambodia makes sense.
It's what gives it it's charm.

Wow. I haven't looked at Cambodia for years, didn't realize how much they've grown ! Good for you Cambodia !! I'll definitely be visiting soon !!
BROWN is like an equivalent to a Starbucks in Cambodia, except it's better. Also this coffee shop sources most of their things locally, which is quite considerate.
Owner is Australian Khmer, not sure about his family background though.
Fascinating how quickly Cambodia's developed. Can't wait to visit again 🇰🇭❤️
Bro this is the place where I live
@@sokuntheresadeth-xm7uwme too bruh that is also where I live bro
China scares Western investment away, Cambodia says YES PLEASE!
Koh Pich means Diamond Island. Koh is island.
Same as Thai?
When the Thai settled in the Khmer Empire, there were exchanges and influences between the cultures. Thai has about 40% of Khmer vocabulary.
Love Cambodia from Indonesia, awesome Cambodia btw
Love Indonesia from Cambodia❤
Abar kabar! Sending friendly hello to all Indonesian friend, your country is such a gem a such a diversify nation! Greetings from Native Khmer in Mekong delta Vietnam.
Salamat
I find it so fascinating that Cambodia is an LDC, this area in comparison to the last area you were in, it so drastically different. I'm amazed they have an area so modern, it's fantastic to see. Hope you're enjoying your time there. Another killer video.
Assess LDC is based on the entire country as the whole. What he didn't show was the poor destitute hood and many of them just right in the backyard. Koh Pich (Diamond Island) was a brand new neighborhood and mostly foreigner's residents. About 3km from that island, it was a poor destitute hood. I am not sure, whatever he is the LDC activist.
Even in the poorest neighborhoods, you’ll casually see a Roll Royce or Maybach rolling around, it’s very typical, you might see more expensive cars here than any where in Southeast Asia. Thanks for sharing the video. We as Cambodian are really grateful and proud to see this.🙏
I think it's a good idea for us to stop listening to the UN's opinion about another country and their development. Cambodia should grow slowly but strategically. Definitely one of the countries I'm interested in.
Most of Cambodians are still toooooo much poor.
I am Cambodia 🇰🇭
@@yospisethJe suis africain 😊
First Business grown up and money ran bcos of US, stay with US Cambodia US friendship never die 🇺🇸🇰🇭🦾🦾🦾 we’re democracy
Cambodian has had the same Prime Minister(dictator)Hun Sen for the last 30 years who pass on the role to his son Hun Manet. That's your idea of democracy?
Great video. Thank you. I’ve never been back since my escape from the Khmer Rouge. Koh Pich - Koh= island; Pich = Diamond. So “Diamond Island”.
Wow you must be old then
Another rich community in Phnom Penh and Beautiful to chill, Don’t forget to visit PH Euro Park, bro 😎
PH is mainly for upper class Cambodians. Koh pich residents are mainly Chinese.
I did the little park map illustration at 9:38. Caught me off guard. Completely forgotten I did that commission for them😂 love your videos by the way
Is like if I see an other country, when I remember the Cambodia I have seein 1999 and I see the videos now looks like it cannot be possible such a big change, there was only poverty, misery, orphans and sadness but a lot of sweetness and kindness, Cambodia touch my heart very deep like it happ6 with Myanmar too, 2 countries with a lot of suffering
Dude! I love Koh Pich. I work at Canadian international school (the school you see right when you cross the bridge) and I always walk around after school and play Pokemon go while just enjoying the view of the riverside part.
Nice I work at English school in kandal. How is the school there?
@@Clarktruman it's great!!! No complaints at all.
@@ClarktrumanY-a-t-il des jolies filles dans cette école car je souhaite m'inscrire 😂
people actually play pokemon go in cambodia???
@@BlackMatrix-pl4fe you would be surprised. I always see gyms being taken and lures being popped.
Cambodia is catching up on modernization along with its Southeast Asian neighbors. Nice...
According to my Cambodian friend, the import tax on new cars is 100% of thier price. Used cars are assessed 75% duty so there are a lot of creative ways to render a new car used.
In 2019 I saw a uniformed officer driving a new Rolls Royce in Battambang. With import duty that's near a million dollar car.
So happy to see my country rebuild. We lost sooo much
Damn can't believe how much it's changed there was there 20 years ago
Is there still pharmacies all over the place
Yes. Haha…
If you want to see somewhere strange visit Euro Park in Borey Peng Huoth Chbar Ampov. Its not that far from Koh Pich.
Brown coffee brand is a local brand, the most successful local brand one.
It's honestly probably my favorite Cambodian "thing" in existence. I've been away from two years, and I still crave my visits to Brown
@@parasitius yes, my favourite too
It taste a lot better than Starbucks honestly I never know it local brand
@@mutitapen3966 it is a local brand. Anyway, I like its tastes 😁
Thanks for sharing your positive thoughts on Cambodia and tell the truth to the world.
Coconut Park is privately owned. They have farmers markets and expat stuff there once in a while. It's nice to have it there - PP has very few green spaces, sadly. As for walking around outdoors in April -- hardcore.
hey zane, just a note about the use of the word "mandarin". mandarin is the spoken official language of china. the written language is always referred to as chinese. so whenever you see a written sign it is always in chinese, just like you wouldn't refer to a sign in english as written in texan, new england, etc. there is a difference in the written language as the one used in china is called simplified and the other type is called traditional but both are written chinese. anyway keep up the good content.
I appreciate the information! Thank you!
So, is there also an actual Chinese food dish called Mandarin?
Koss (island) Pich (diamond)= Diamond Island
Also, one thing to note about Cambodia is that all imported vehicles that you see on the road have 100% imported tax. So the price of any vehicles there is 2x the price of original price that you see in other countries. So it's not just all those high end vehicles that are expensive, all the cars in Cambodia are expensive.
That side of town, a lot of rich Chinese, Australian, Japanese, Korean, and Singaporean businessmen and families lives there.
I'm Thankful that you visited our country!
( Am from Cambodia ❤️🇰🇭 )
🙏Thank you so much for visiting and Sharing my country❤🙏
Last few years, Cambodia is growing so fast ❤
Chinese invest a lot in Cambodia
Looks can be deceiving 👎❌
It's been awhile since Ive been out there. I remember I had a huge feast for about 3 families and the bill came out to be less than $20. Those days are gone. Im am blown away by the modern development of the city now. Thanks for the vid.
Beautiful Cambodia! So green. The weather must be nice. I'm sitting in snowy Colorado. Love the content. Thank you❤
Sko Buffs
Super hot at the moment
The best times to visit Cambodia or any other Southeast Asians countries are around December through February
The elite in Asia don't live in penthouses, or even mansions, but practically castle-mansion cross.
??...Elaborate
bro this is just the house in the city u can't imagine The Mansion of rich people living in Cambodia in the countryside!
you tourists are funny to Asia must have not lived in south east Asia the rich are only rich because of generations GENERATIONS AND GENERATIONS of wealth OK get experience living here instead of guessing lol
@@Boom38119 Most elites do not live in penthouses, its just viewed very differently. They like big things, most of their houses are at the outskirts of the city, big villas, worth millions. If you come to Phnom Penh, you will see the condo and apartment business are not doing well. People prefer living in separate house, therefore you can find the price of any condos and apartment to rent cheaply.
BKK1 is my favourite spot in Phnom Penh. I always hang out there.
You will be more impressed if you visit Europark in PP
It’s actually in Beung Snor (Borey Peng Huoth)
Thank you for sharing your experience. 👍
When others are prosperous, some may become jealous of other people's success.
My favorite place in SE Asia so far is Ho Chi Minh City, as it strikes my perfect balance between being well developed and still being a great deal. Phnom Penh is on the less developed side, but still very interesting to me. Especially with a path to residency (Cambodia My 2nd Home program), it's a place I'll keep considering as a potential long-term base/home. Thanks for the tours!
Very nice country to visit
Bro, visit Euro Park. It's a newer development exclusive residential area in PP.
Hey Zane, Koh Pich is Diamond Island in english.
Cambodia so kindest
Looks a lot nicer than when I was there in 2013, although I did notice the trend of Boba/ Coffee shops starting then. I also saw a lot of range rovers and expensive pick up trucks at that time. I'd speculate it was the elite/ kids of the elite rather than the result of growth from development at the time.
Zane please visit cambodia island🥰
When you said :how busy it is' I thought there is nearly no traffic 😂
I like your Video! Thank you for sharing
BKK is probably the most expensive and diverse area in Phnom Penh
BKK BANGKOK
Yes, for me as a Cambodian, I think some rich people are very rich, but some people are very poor.

Umm....because it is a car. 🤦♀️🤣
Love you from Cambodia 🇰🇭
Another nice place to visit is Euro Park in Peng Huoth Beoung Snor, Chbar Ampov District, where you can spot many European Iconic buildings, nice park, and elite mansons (a couple million dollars houses). There is also a huge 3-4 lane cycling track/tunnel in theirs public area of the Eco-Colection gated community of Peng Huoth.
Elite town is smaller than Peng hout town at Beung snor district.
Brown coffee is the National brand and
Represents to Cambodia.
Bkk isn’t wealthy, it just a busy area in town, but Toul Kork area is the truly wealthy area and many mansion and large international schools there
Welcome to Cambodia one the nice country to visit. Don’t miss our greatest city Siem Reap Angkor ❤
Welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭 ❤
Just look the massive old French colonial Art Deco houses in French Quoter between the post office and Monivong boulevard. They are all restored and high ranking politicians live there.
Wow! Brave New World!! Thanks for Sharing..
Nice video and good info. Would a 68 year old retired English teacher be able to live there and recruit some local preschoolers to teach them their numbers and how to read in private in home lessons?
Sure you can, the living cost is not high in Cambodia
As a Cambodian with strict parents, I've never seen or exploring shi inside my own country. Thanks you so much for showing us this😅😅
The bar is SORA part of Rosewood
just a little bit more maybe 2km or maybe not (cross koh norea bridge) you'll be shocked if you visited the Pheng Hout Town( idk how to call it other than town : V) Idk how to decribe it but just give it a try :D
Guys Cambodia has alot of Villa and luxurious car too (and btw I also used to live there too)
Cambodia is the kind of place where you see a Roll-Royce driving on an unpaved road filled with potholes.
one of my friends went from like lower middle class to living in one of these. it's really shocking bc she used to only speak khmer and when i met her again it was just perfect english. yeah we were kids back then when she was middle class
Cambodia is great.
The place you mentioned is called "Korh pich." Meaning 'diamond island'
Thanks from Cambodia 🇰🇭🇰🇭❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
Thanks for coming to Cambodia! ❤❤
$2.50 ice coffee in Cambodia that is expensive,it’s $3.75 in some Vietnamese restaurants here in Atlanta GA area.
Most of the branding coffee shops, both Starbuck and Others, are around 3- 3.35$/bottle(smallest one)
Nice to see some rich area. Also nice you mentioned that the weather is literally almost hot enough to kill a human in the shade.
Hopefully the weather doesn't keep getting hotter and they continue with reducing poverty like they were before the pandemic when it was reduced by 50% from 2014-2021.
Welcome and thank for your visit my country.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Good Video The Camera doesn't do justice to convey the size and scale for a few of those houses in Koh Pich especially that one with SUV in the Garage 31:36 mark 8- 10 Ft floor to ceiling glass from outside & Interior maybe 14 ft high Floor to celing
Wow beautiful video❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow Cambodia has grown so much very interesting! Just kidding I actually live here 😅!
Very nice statistic and good information from you. Glad you experienced sth different.
Borey Peng Huoth Beoung Snor is rich area because most of them are millionare
It will be more lively in the Koh Pich area in the evening. If you have time, you might want to go there in the evening. Most people go to the Koh Pich riverside in the evening for exercise and relaxation. You should also visit the Koh Norea riverside in the evening, as many people go there as well.
I am cambodia kid I am excited that you love my country
It's such a beautiful country, i love the culture, food and the people are so friendly
Interesting place
Welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭
Thank you for that 🙏
That Grab car was a Bajaj Qute, we hardly see in India where it is made and quite surprising to see a one in Cambodia, Cheers
The places and the streets, the trees and walk ways that you showed in this clip are quite like down town Bangkok, Thailand over 50+ years ago: so very peaceful and quite and similar in building styles, except the sky rise bldg ones. This reminded me of the Bangkokians life styles during the old days which I'm missing much.
Thank you for showing this. I like your clips.
Have a good time.😍🌹❤🎉🎉

Come visit Cambodia
So good to review ❤
Nice video ! I like Phnom Penh :-) Would you tell me what video set you use ? Thanks
Thanks 🙏 for your trips and your video on RUclips has talked about Phnom Penh Cambodia
Although, It's spelled Koh Pich, it's transliterated to correct Khmer as Kaôh Péch [kɑh peic]. or in layman terms Koh Piecj
aka, the diamond island
Thank you for visit Cambodia
I’m glad it’s going somewhere rather than going backward. The world is a crazy place nowadays one bad move and you’ll end up like Myanmar.
Koh Pich means Diamond island in Khmer. "Koh" means island. It's pronounced as "Boss", but with a "K". "Pich" means diamond. It's pronounced as the "B" word, but with a "P" sound.
Craziest place
We simply pronounce Koh Pich as (Kos Pech) and in Khmer 'Koh' is island and 'Pich' is Diamond
Great Video, You analysis is pretty accurate.
Btw I’m live in Cambodia at Phnom Penh 😅

I live in Cambodia❤🎉
And I live in Phnom Penh😊😊
