  • One of my favorite supplements to add to a dog’s diet is raw goat’s milk. It is one of the best foods you can give and is extremely easy and reasonable in cost but far-reaching in its benefits. Whether you feed your dog kibble, canned, cooked or raw you should be adding raw goat’s milk to your dog’s food and to supplement their overall diet. A newer supplement coming to the market is CBD oil for dogs. This hemp oil delivers the physical and dietary benefits without the psychoactive high which is from THC which is removed from the oil. Early studies are showing a wide range of additional benefits especially for dogs with specific issues whether it be healing & recovery, allergies, environmental sensitivity and mood and much more.
I was excited to find a supplement from a great raw and BARF dog diet focused company that combines raw goat’s milk and CBD oil together. This combination is even better than providing both separately as the CBD oil can bond with the fat in the milk for more efficient and effective delivery to your dog.
In these hands-on impressions and insights, we take a closer look at CannaGurt from Steve’s Real Food. We provide you all the key information you might be wondering about including benefits of raw goat’s milk and CBD oil and whether it is safe and what are some great ways to feed it to your dog.
Cannagurt also takes it even further by including hemp protein in the base of simple but rich and nutrient-dense ingredients. This provides further benefits on top of the CBD oil and raw goat’s milk. These include additional Omega 3’s which many dogs suffer from a lack of. As well as fiber and protein.

Thanks for your feedback! Are you using CBD for a specific purpose or as a general supplement?

I have a puppy with a skin infection that we have been dealing with. There is a retailer right up the road from me so I am going to give this a try. I am also interested in the fermented goats milk. Thank you for this video.🙌👍

How is the puppy? Do you know what kind of infection it is? One of the best things you can do for skin infection is to keep the skin clean. Ensure you wash the dog's. blankets or the bedding the dog my be sleeping on and be cautious with using some detergents or even the bedding ( like wool ) can cause some reactions for dogs. That being noted I would consider getting some with Chlorhexidine. This helps to fight infection and can be found in shampoo, creams, spray or wipes. I would recommend getting a shampoo and giving him a bath. This in combination with a good diet should help him break the infection quickly. If there is a lot of flaky or loose skin or dander or lack of hair you can also add a little krill oil which is my preferred addition to improve skin and coat health quickly. My favorite is Grizzly Krill Oil. Best of luck and hope your puppy gets better soon!

@@ExperiencesWithMyDog she has been on an antibiotic, and I give her coconut oil both internally and on the spots she keeps itching. I also give her Evening Primrose oil and fish oil. We switched to an all natural limited ingredient food. We had a medicated shampoo but now that is gone I was going to use a mix of Dr bronners, acv, and black tea with lavender essential oil. I appreciate your response and concern, I will be adding the canagurt later today. I am wondering if we were to use fermented goats milk and add in the cbd oil if that would be better as we could alter the amount of CBS, plus use it for ourselves as well....🤔
I am also curious if this infection could be similar to psoriasis or eczema in people, therefore needing a similar treatment? I battled psoriasis and learned it was a liver issue...but my puppy is only 6 mo old....thinking out loud. Any additional thoughts are Welcomed.
      Thanks again🙏

Where can I purchase this product. I live in Tennessee and do not have any stores selling this for dogs. I have a Pittbull that has allergies and would like to try this because I believe in natural meds. Please help. Thank you.

If you genuinally think you dog has allergies you may wan tot consider shifting to a limited ingredient high quality animal protection diet, In most cases dogs allergies are driven by an excess of carbs.
While this is a great supplement and can help it is not a cure all to allergies which in reality are pretty rare. Also consider food rotation.
The easiest way to counter this if you dog is ok with cold food is consider a pre packaged raw food like that from Stella and Chewy, Tuckers or Primal Pet Food. You can find these are many pet stores.
If you do not want to supplement some type of CBD and cannot find this product consider some high quality yogurt and just add it yourself. There are many quality CBD options for pets.
An alternative is also consider a more complete supplement like those from Four Leaf Rover, Inclover or Matrix Mushrooms
Safe-Sea - Green Lipped Mussel Oil For Dogs is a good starting point especially for skin.
The two other companies offer a good option and you could also consider a adding in a small amount occasionally of a prebiotic like Optagest if you are feeding a kibble diet.
Best wishes to you and your staffie!
